What have you done to your CX-5 today?

Cabin LEDs are in. Having issues with removing trunk light cover and license plate covers. That's for tomorrow I suppose.

JBR SRI. Told the ole girl I was putting in a K&N air filter for "better gas mileage". She said okay and I carried on. This thing is pretty loud. It's been almost a week, she hasn't said anything, and when I'm in the car and you can hear it, she says "ZOOM ZOOM!". Sweet, I should've splurged for the exhaust too...lol

Maybe that will help drown out some of the wind noise. I know it won't increase the horsepower any, or do anything else.

or you can enjoy the fact that the DD is quiet and comfortable. ive got two loud toys, i dont need my CX5 to be loud too haha

eh maybe i am getting old haha

Oh, that thinking definitely does not portray to the CX-5. I've already contemplated taking it back off as I think my girl has forgotten it didn't sound like that stock, but I'll probably enjoy it for a few. Isn't hurting anything. If the day ever comes I get questioned by a ricer with a fart cannon, it comes off. Lol

Getting a little older myself, and those days of boomin' probably didn't help either.

Hows the quality on the JBR SRI? I heard you can take the Corksport Cold Air box (only fits Mazda6 and 3) to modify it into the CX-5.

The quality is great. Idk about the Corksport, thought I saw Someone post it didn't work well or something like that. I have the heat shield off a 6 on mine, seems to work. This weekend, I plan to see if this carbon fiber one I have off of my Evo will fit or fab up. It looks like it may.

Shoot I'd be interested in your findings. My cousin has a Evo 10 and may have some spare stuff in his garage I can have. Its crazy the amount of engine space the Evo has. Then again its a 2.0

The CX-5 has tons of room too IMO. There's plenty of room for FI as it is. You should see how small the engine looks in the bay when you get the stock air box out...

This is true. It almost seems like you can fit in a V6 in there. That said, the extra space is due to the SkyActiv 2.2D engine which has twin turbos.

lol. on the flip side, here's what the engine bay of my VR4 pretty much looked like (minus the shiny bits).... you need small hands to get almost anything done in there. I used to pop the hood and say "welcome to my nightmare"....
