Navi Issues?

I just bought a new 2016 Mazda 6 GT last week & my current OS Version is 55.00.760

The Navi is having a hard time keeping a lock on my car even with 5 or more satellites locked on with high accuracy!

If I am driving on the expressway the Navi shows I am on a service drive or side street. What's funny is today on my lunch break leaving work and the Navi shows I was inside the GM Technical here in Michigan. I don't work for GM and have never been inside the technical center!

Is there a fix for this? I am aware this same issue is consistent with other models such as the CX-5 and CX-3..

Mine froze up twice in a recent trip. It started back up after I stopped to eat and had the car shut off. A friend also has a 2016 GT and his froze as well. They just reflashed his car. I'm waiting to hear back if that solved the problem.

Just had my GPS firmware updated today. It's supposed to resolve the freezing screen issue and other issues as well. Still no real time traffic but hopefully reliable now. Check with your dealer. You may need the update.

I have a appointment with my dealer next week for the update and are your issues resolved after the update?

Too early to tell but no problems so far. A friend who has a 2016 GT that also had the Navi freeze on him did the upgrade and then took a trip from SC to Ohio and back and had no issues. The dealer did tell me the firmware update was to resolve the Navi freezing and other "issues" as well but did not get into specifics.

I just got my car back today and the Navi work perfectly fine! The dealer replaced the UNIT CONNECTIVITY (part #KA0G-66-9C0F) and replaced the GPS antenna with a new unit. So far I am connected to 8 or more satellites when driving.
