CX5 FaceLift 2015 Non Bose
Just wondering if it's possible for the the smart brake system and High Beam Control Feature can be installed onto 2016 CX-5 that didn't have come with features, i know that audio on 6 speaker almost impossible to upgrade to bosse without changing cable harnesses.

The Bose upgrade, if at all possible, is not worth it. It's underwhelming at best.

yes true.. but still wonder if it's possible to add SCBS into CX-5 2016 touring that only come with wiper sensor, no front camera sensor

You don't like the Bose? Man....I love it. I had the Harmon Kardon upgrade in my Mercedes GLA and boy did it suck as compared.

It's nice and definitely better than the stock sound system in Touring. But it's not as good as I expected it to be. They made some poor audio design choices. So many speakers and not even one directional tweeter? The mid range audio is more muffled than it should be.

Yea, Bose system should put two directional tweeters on A pillars or at least on upper part of the front door panels. There is no sub-woofer either. Bose is supposed to be a good speaker system manufacture but nine mid-range cheap paper-cone speakers just don't cut it for a good audio system!

That's funny - I think the Harmon Kardon system in my Subaru blows the pants off the Bose system in our Mazda. I had high hopes for the Bose system and was actually a little disappointed. Don't get me wrong, it sounds nice, but I had higher expectations for it I guess.

Maybe it's the missing subwoofer that makes it feel more flat.

Most of these factory systems with big names on them don't sound nearly as good as even low-mid end aftermarket. They just pay for names so you'll go "Oooh!"

Bose has always been sub par anyway, and H&K sold out long ago. H&K stopped being good when they bought Infinity (whom they ruined) and started selling all of their junk in big box stores.

Even the B&O audio in my buddy's Audi S5 is only "ok." The cones aren't paper, but they're on par with the cheaper aftermarket poly cones that come on stuff you'd get at Best Buy. Their high high end is still really good, but at that point you might as well start looking at B&O or B&W.

Also, just because the cones are made from paper doesn't mean that the speakers are junk. I've seen some ultra expensive drivers that use fibrous cones. A lot of people think that it sounds warmer than polypropylene (plastic), carbon ceramic, carbon fiber, and sometimes even silk (depending).

Lol!
Well. You are lucky you like it because it'll save you the pain in the ass of ripping them out and putting quality in there. I'm happy for you. :)

While I agree the Bose system in the cx5 doesn't sound the greatest, a bit muffled, Bose is far from crap. I have a pair of the QC 15 and it's been a great set. Excellent sound cancellation and impressive sound.

Some audiophiles just compare spec sheets. Sound is a subjective experience.
