In case anyone hasn't been on FB lately, Route 8 south is closed south of Steels Corners Rd. Everyone is being forced to exit at Steels due to an accident in Cuyahoga Falls south of Graham Rd.

Thankfully there isn't a concert tonight at Blossom, lol.

Thanks for the heads up, Jess. I take Route 8 south home to Crackron. I'll take the scenic route instead.

well... went buck wild on the bank acct yesterday and ordered a ton of parts for the damn redhead. Hopefully they all come, in decent time and i can find the time to finish assembling everything, cause im HOPING to get it all back together before Labor Day so i can drive it out to Phens Cookout.

Speaking of hobbies again, and those into electronics/computers..... anyone here messed around with a Raspberry Pi?

No, but the CTO of our company used a Netduino board to set up a monitoring board for our services. Looks interesting but I have no time to play with it, it would be great for making a timer display for autox.

There are tons of different timers that people have made. I'm also interested in possibly home monitoring (door and window switches), garage door opening/closing, and maybe building a tablet out of one, but now that I think more about the tablet, the processor/ram is a bit lacking there.

Haven't used that one in particular, but at my last job we used to use some similar micro PC boards to build PCs to control laser systems.

Good luck.

i need help from my techy friends!! yesterday at work, my phone (Samsung Galaxy S3) started wigging out. keyboard running REAL slow and losing juice FAST. wouldn't re-charge at work ... being really wonky. got home, recharged it with a different cord and it was running fine this morning. i plugged it in again at home before i left for work, unplugged it about 840am and it was at 97%. at 922am it was at 78% and now, 8 minutes later it's down to 73% and i'm not even using it ... yesterday i took the battery out 3 times ... it keeps popping up with a message "connected to wifi linksys" which is my work wifi ... it keeps sending the same text messages ... and then when i get a text in, it pops up BEFORE the one I sent ... the time didn't reset when i turned the phone back on, i had to manually do it ...

is it toast? it's only about a year old, i think ... PLUS it feels really hot. : /

I would back everything on it up, then do a hard reset of the phone. Also, iirc, there is a power saving feature, perhaps turn that on? With it off, my wife's GS3 did seem to chew through battery power quickly.

I usually get 1.5-2 days on my GS3 without battery saver, but then again I don't do much on my phone. Heavier use gets me down to ~1 days. I don't use the battery saver because it kills the phone. Slows it down, makes it harder to read, etc. Overheating seems to be common with the GS3 and can be symptomatic of a number of issues. I'm not an expert because this hasn't happened to me but it's pretty well documented online.

I've had mine for 2 years now. It's completely beat to hell and I've had to replace the screen and LCD digitizer ones (my fault). Going month-to-month for the time being to see if anything interesting comes out in the next month or two. My wife is ready to upgrade to a S5 but the rumors of an iPhone-competing Galaxy model has me curious enough to wait.
