Anyone in the US with Navigation Traffic ever get an accident ALERT! or AUTO REROUTE

I have noticed that I do not get any traffic icons in the right panel of the screen. When I zoom out, I do see the traffic issues, but no icons. I travel to different cities, and I checked and they are being covered by TMC system.

I HAVE YET TO GET AN ACCIDENT ALERTS, "Would you like to re-route" voice prompt. Wondering if this is working correctly. EVER GET AN AUTO REROUTE?

When you say icons do you mean like the little symbols that denote a heavy traffic jam? At any rate, I have gotten an auto re route a couple of times while driving. I've also noticed though that it can take a little while before the system realizes that a quicker route is available, so if I look at the traffic bar on the right and all of a sudden the estimated time of arrival jumps way up then I'll try to manually check to see if there is a quicker route and usually there is.

yes, the traffic symbols i mean. I don't get any symbols at all, but I go in and out of covered cities. If I drive in a covered city, should i get those symbols?

and is there any other way to tell I am connected to a TMC channel. I do not have it set to manual as well. and is updated every 3 minutes

I'll mention one thing that you probably already know, but you will only get the icons and stuff if you have input a destination. If you're just driving around without having put a destination in then you won't get any symbols when you view the map. Other than that, you should definitely be getting symbols as long as you're in a covered city. I didn't have to manually change the frequency either, I wouldn't try that until you've exhausted your other options.
