NEMOC Random BS Thread

As of right now my Sunday is open. Looks like rain is in the forecast so F1 indoors (not outdoors) would be the safest bet.

We must be using different weather people. F1 Outdoors was what we were planning on going to. I'm thinking the way the weather has been and will continue to be (ie: Hot Balls), we go early (public sessions start at noon). I'll let you know if that plan changes, I'm having dinner w/ my buddy that's setting it up tonight. PS: Lemme know who all wants to go (Mahk? Chris?)

Hmm, weather seems to have changed. I have two apps and they both have different opinions on what might happen. Weather.com says 20% chance of rain. The outdoor track is much faster and offers more braking opportunities. The karts aren't exactly tuned to spec (we found last time that 2-3 karts were very quick no matter who was in them) but it is still a good take.

I don't know if I'll make it down to Bridgewater. I'm going to be down in that area on Saturday and we're having my in-laws over in the afternoon (just found out about that yesterday).

Hey I am doing turbo install work all day tomorrow (Saturday) in Waltham, if you guys wanna come by, I'll provide liquid and solid refreshments

and we're back to the way it was.
"the way we were"

Sorry I missed this Oleg. Had to go down to Foxboro and pick up odds and ends at my parents house. Closing date for the sale is the 17th. They're moving to FL, going to stay with family until they purchase a house in Naples.

did a few nice laps at F1.... ;)

Bruce, we met Bob Gautier this weekend! Helluva a nice guy and he is an easy fit with our group! Had a great time with a lot of the Quebec Miata Owners, especially the women of the group! I have never had so many requests for pictures in my life!

Looks like I have to learn French now! Scary thought, eh? e are looking to more with the Quebec gang, as they wanted more info on Watkins Glen next year, hopefully we canm get them to come to Lime Rock as well!

As they say in French, Vroum, Vroum!

The guy can wheel, but can't figure out how to get e-mail attachments to the internet :-P

(Mark was the only 1 to get past me... felt like I was dragging an anchor down the straights compared to him hahaha)

Yes, I was trying to get Bob to come to the Glen, he is a good fit. Watch the french femmes Marlon, or maybe I should tell Lauri, lol.

+1, I think I beat you the last time you visited Mass a few years ago.

$51.84 to have the headlight in my 6 changed!!! WTF!! Mazda did a great job(sarcastic) at engineering the location of the headlights, not like the protege, have to remove the wheel, inner fender to get the headlight out to change it, I know RX8 guys have to do the bumper..... still... SUCKS!!!!

Why wasn't under warranty?? Didn't you just get it?

Changed the oil in the Miata and rotated the tires last night.

It's not that tough to change any bulbs in the RX-8. You don't need to take the wheel off, but it's easier to open the fender liner wider to gain access. No need to remove the bumper cover. All you really need to do is jack up the front, turn the wheel and pull out a couple clips holding the liner in. Honda Accord, Subaru Legacy, and many more require the same due to bulb locations.

Morning all! Swapping out my eye ball vents for some from a toyo celica. They are a direct fit (except for the length ) and they don't have the stupid felt that doesn't work at holding the vent where you adjust it to.

Frank Profera has spent six years making his Lotus go faster, stop shorter, and corner harder. Though it only has to move around 2,150 lbs, Frank's Lotus makes 680 wheel horsepower with a twin-charged 1.8L engine; giving it a better power-to-weight ratio than Mario Andretti's Formula One Lotus. It's an ongoing project that may never be finished, because of Frank's never-ending obsession with speed. We had to take it for a ride.
