Corksport Lowering Springs Installed

So I've decided to bite the bullet and install these springs. The negative camber is an issue, but after poking around online -2.2 camber (give or take) is sucky, but could be worse. I'm hoping to get new tires with new rims anyway in about a year, maybe by then there will be something.

Also, I'm thinking about some wheel spacers. Anyone have them? If so how how much spacing? I would like 25mm but is that too much? Feedback is appreciated, thanks guys

I can see why some would want spacers. With the narrow width and high offset of the stock CX-5 wheels, they become even more sunk given the lower ride height and the increase camber. Damn thing would look like a boat lol.

Yea, I put my stock wheels on for some tests when I had my H&R's on; it looked really stupid with the stock offset.

yeah, I'm thinking it will help the back end look a little better. The back end stance and horrible wheel gap are my two major problems with the car. Will wheel spacers and CS springs be a little harsh on my suspension though?

tried to order the corksport springs but the website seems to have issues. why are h&r spring so hard to find for this car?

$260 incl. shipping and in stock @ Tire Rack last time I checked. Mine were here the next day! Sounds like you're vascilating between the two brands. I would encourage anyone on the fence about this issue to go with the more conservative choice because of the camber issue. I think you'll be amazed at the difference that 1.5" (average) drop does for the CX-5 and the ride quality trade-off with anything more severe would, IMO, be intolerable.

don't forget to go the link at the bottom of my sig (request at corkport link for results) going prices for camber arms seems to be $150-$250

just got my springs yesterday. How long did it take for these to settle? I'm trying to figure out when i should install them and get an alignment

bump..response/guess anyone?
? Not sure how they will settle if they aren't being used lol. If you going to do that it may be a good time to get the sway bar if you want it too (save on time/alignment). If your going for more than just looks, the Ultra Racing braces are a good choice and affordable too (STB is $130 and $lower arm is 108 I think, that will give you a square at the front suspension).

well ill still be driving a bit, but not too much. I just don't want to get an alignment right after install and then have them sink down more over time, throwing the alignment out of wack again.

Oh, I thought you hadn't installed them lol. In that case idk. Had mine aligned (H&R) the same day and didn't have any issues. Putting some heat on it may help.

Started installing these today. Cant get passed step 2d (Remove the sway bar endlink using 14mm socket.) sounds simple but the bolt and the nut are moving so it wont loosen.

Ive tried an Allen key in the bolt to hold it while I turned (rust made the allen key hole bigger and now bolt moves still)

So I'm not exactly sure on how to get passed this step. It has happened on both sides too so I'm at a dead end

I haven't done this yet, but you can't use a bigger channel lock, to grab the head of the bolt?

Hi, I had this problem too. What I did was after I removed the sway bar (with endlink attached) I put it on the floor and used my weight and the floor as leverage to keep it from turning to loosen it.

thanks, but all 4 are like this and it takes an hour or so to get them, free (with my method at least) I'm just going to get it done at a shop.
