Got the miata engine washed. Looks better, still needs some more cleaning. Had to stop since Dad was roaming and Mary couldn't get him to settle down. Doh!

Hey how's your Mom doing?? Since you sold the house what will she do about the summer?

Finally got some time to clean the engine. Need to work on the brakes tomorrow. Pull the wheels off and clean, lube and repaint the calipers.

Mom is doing great! She'll live with us, we have 2 bedrooms in the new place. I'm driving her up from FL end of June.

Hah hah, no. But we always see campers at the Walmart near us. It's right off the highway. Walmart lets you stay overnight for free...so when you can't find a campsite, you can always park it there without getting hassled.

Yup, we have camped at alot of them in the states, much better than paying for a campsite for 1 night.

Indeed it does. Hoping to get the BMW back on the road tho. So many parts have come in the mail recently.
 
i need to get the msm out next week, fluids, tires, wheels, alignment, clay and wax before the 23rd...yikes!
 
I'm gonna make sure the Italian is all clean and shiny for you guys to check out. I'll park where Fez normally does. LOL.

Damn, can't believe it's almost that time already. I've still got to buy tix. Was hoping to have some new rubber on the car too but not if I keep dragging my ass. Found some nice PF01s semi-local for $1000 with fairly new tires but they are 17x7. :( Was hoping to downsize to 15s not go up.

Bruce, what a great son to help out mom and dad. :D Hope he's doing better!!!

No, sorry to say he will get worse and is. Not a disease you get better from.

Got the Calipers re-painted. Also painted the rims with PlastiDip clear. Looks good over the powdercoating, it was beginning to fad. Need to replace the pads again for autox. Need to re-paint the center caps, but will do that later.

Heading out this weekend from Mom's, going back home. Will have to Walmart it for a few days till the park opens. Take a break this weekend and hit the ground looking for work on Monday. Will be good to get back into the rig.
 
Wow quiet in here. Back in the rig in Walmart. Feel bad about leaving Mom but glad to be back in the rig.

Getting the car teched tonite for autox. 1st race is next Saturday. Will get the new tires on Tuesday evening with the Miata group and get the brakes bleed as well.

Oh also got the center caps painting and back on the car.
 
Ran an autocross with the Abarth for the first time yesterday. Holy s***! That car is silly fun. I haven't spent that much time sideways since running the MSM. It's a silly little car, but it's damn good at being one.

Nice Phen, my first will be Saturday but unfortunately I will have to run with the old tires. I was planning to change them tomorrow but the owner of the garage where I can do it for free is sick tomorrow, will have to wait another 2 weeks, sigh!!
 
Could be worse. I was running on the OEM Pirelli P7's. 500 treadwear, 195/45-16. Tires were absolutely horrible, but I was impressed with its overall performance.
 
Aww man, that's a bummer. Good thing she's alright tho. That's much more important.
