Gen 3 CX-5: Owners Chime In

My local tech says no need to take it to Mazda unless the issue reoccurs again and again. He thinks it's tied to a software glitch and that they would hold it for days trying to recreate the issue. Makes sense to me.

I haven't heard of anyone else having the exact issue I had. I believe that the update was for those who had black screens. I will check in with Mazda online to see if my issue is covered in the fix. If not, then I'm going to stay away and avoid having them posses my CX-5 for any length of time, even though they'd likely supply a loaner. I don't want to go through that nightmare unless it's absolutely necessary. As far as I am concerned, my car isn't broken.
