I had an 09 Mazda3i I was running last year, and began prepping it for STF, but money got tight for a while and ended up not getting further than a tune and upgraded motor mount, and decided to test drive a Mazda2 and it's frankly just a seriously fun little car. It puts a stupid grin on my face whenever I drive it(might explain the look of the grille?).
So I finally got to autocross it today, I've had the car for about 3 weeks now. It is fun being able to just throw it around... it makes Chicago boxes stupid easy... that is probably the most dramatic difference between the 2 and 3 in my opinion... and slaloms. The 2 also stops hella fast(compared to my 3i, compared to a 3s there might not be nearly as much of a difference).
Overall it was just a great time... I foresee having a lot of fun autocrossing this car... especially once I get some wider wheels/tires.

I was running it in HS in the "street open" indexed class with the Cincy/WOR/OVR SCCA divisional event today, the plan is to go to STF once the appropriate mods are done to run there.
