The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I'm aggravated I can't even find a halfway decent cheap rifle backpack, other than the 5.11 M4 covert.

can buy a zzb'd ms6 for right around 2-4k and drop in a built motor for cheaper than I am doing all this s*** to my ms3. and I am tired of my car payment and would rather just pay cash for everything. School loans, Insurance, car payment, and miscellaneous other bills are not fun during the school year. Its a family loan which was stupid to take in the first place

I've seen blown MS6's go for $2500 (that kid on OMS) to $5500. I wouldn't get an Ohio car if you're planning on a long term project car though. That P5 from Georgia was a peach (pardon the pun) to work on it was so clean.

I've been keeping an eye out for clean shells too to swap my parts to but I don't want another car loan until my car is paid off in another 3 loooong years.

I like the Fiat Pablo!

It was a cheap car I could afford while in college, it was rusted to s*** and held together by some miracle goo... beat the s*** out of it though :)

And damn you Patrick, now I'm wondering once again what Jon is doing with his MS6...

Are you sure money is the only factor here?

Yeah I would like something along the 2500 lol. But Idk if I should part out the ms3 or sell it as is

lol! +10 points, Will.

Patrick, my advice would be step one: stop spending any more money until you come up with a solid plan which what you want to build and what you want to build it for. Take it from me, who spent a s*** ton of money on a project P5 I never finished. (Thankfully I made a lot of that money back, but still). I would hate to see you spend a small fortune on your MS3 just to sell it and/or tear it all apart to build an MS6 or something else. Weren't you talking about buying/tracking a Miata last fall? *disclaimer, I'm not bashing you. Just trying to help a brotha out! :)

+1000 intelligent advice points.

Be a man with a plan. (2thumbs)

What do you ultimately want to do with the car? Either the MS3 in whatever form that takes or this built MS6.

Not taking it bad at all. But yea I've thought about a miata mainly because it's cheap but I don't think I want to get away from the speed platform. I am planning that I just wanted to start looking around for an ms6

Disagree slightly, my step one would be to pay down the loan on the MS3.

I'll agree with nate. Try and pay off the ms3 and keep it as is until you have the financial stability to fund a big project

step 1: part out the MS3 and sell it, unless you find someone who likes and wants what you've done to it. Keep the neon to minimize your costs.

step 2: decide what you want the car to do. While the MS6 is a lot of fun, it is not the ideal car for autox or track. Yes, it would do both but its not the best, or most fun.

- why do you want an MS6 exactly?
- what are your goals?
- why are you fixed on a speed model?

You can easily get a decent miata, put a turbo kit on it and have the same (or more) power that I have now. OR, get a miata that has a body beat to s***, buy an Exocet kit and you'll have something unique and really ******* fast.

Also, take it from me. While I love the MSP, it is expensive to maintain and use. Ideally, I'd like to sell the MSP and the truck and get an MS6 for a daily, which won't see any track or autox. I'd get another trailer for the miata and take that to the track.

I'm stuck on the speed because of all the work I have put into the speed platform I know how to work on them and I like the community. And I like the ms6 always have. An exocet would be cool but I wamt to drive a car on the road more than just nice days

You hanging around while they do the alignment Sho?

Nice guys up there.
