Maximum lift. . .

I'm new on here, and an busily trying to get my P5 into winter-mode, as our weather here in Alaska has been s*** to say the least. . .
First on the agenda is tires, as the all-seasons that the PO had are next to worthless. I also want to get a much ground clearance as possible to try to make it a bit less draggy in the snow.

So what is the maximum sidewall height people have tried running on a 16" stock wheel? I found a good deal on 195/60/16 Blizzaks, which sound like they SHOULD fit, but I don't want to do damage to the ABS system, or rub excessively in the rear.
195/60 is around 6.5% different in circumference, and would net me about 3/4" (which is significant) of clearance.

I realize it will throw off the weight dynamics a bit raising the center of gravity, but I drive conservatively in the winter, and just need as much help as I can getting through the snow and ice.
Not that it makes any difference, but it currently has 205/55/16s that are running with zero issues (other than generally sucking), so I'm thinking the additional 1.3% in circumference shouldn't hurt?

Thoughts?

Lifting it won't help in the snow. Once there's that much snow fwd cars should just stay in the driveway

Snow tires will make a huge difference. LSD will help a lot as well

Lifting it a bit DOES help in the snow, as you get a bit less underbody drag, and the less plowing with the front (especially crossing roads and plow berms and such). I'm not looking for something that will drive around in 2' of snow all day, I just want to be able to minimize damage to the car that comes from the bad snow-removal here in Anchorage. Every bit of clearance helps!
LSD isn't an option for now, unfortunately. . .but snow tires are a must. Hence why I am looking to run the biggest snow tire possible.
