Depends. How do they test emissions in CT?

from what I have gathered, just a gap cap test and emissions..at least 1 cat is required. p5s have 2 though I'm pretty sure and a magnaflow catback replaces 1, and headers would not call for removal f tenkther so i think I would still have both

got rid of the Racing Beat muffler, it sounded nice with stock manifold, and resonator in place, but once I got rid of both, it was hell in high RPMs

My car was filthy. I had too much fun at El Mirage dry lake bed.

I've heard rumors that the racing mazda header is just an eBay Ford Probe header with the EGR bung relocated. I almost bought one then changed my mind after hearing about that and now I'm trying to find a Thunder header but can't seem to find anything besides how to order them in bulk.

Reviving an old thread... I went through all 31 pages and didn't see if anyone had a preference between the box axle back or the mazdaspeed sport exhaust, which is an axle back too.. also does anyone know how big the tip is on the mazdaspeed axle back? I can't find it anywhere , but I'm hoping its smaller than the box 4". The 2 are just close in price and was just hoping for some opinions.

I had the 03.5 oval MSP as well and it was 4" from side to side.

Got one like that all fresh in the attic. Not gonna use it because the pipe is 2" and all my piping is 2.25". Shipping would kill any sale that wasn't local though. Not worth giving it away.............

Right now I can't see the ebay link but pretty sure the one on PG is the same one that was offered by the dealer back in the day which was made by Bosal? The one on ebay has the Mazdaspeed logo on the side of the tip? If so, then that is from the 03 model year MSP, just a round tip vs. the oval tip of the 03.5.

I think its identical to the one on PG! I12drivemyp5 if you wanted to ship I'd buy it. But if not I think I'll just pick it up off of eBay. I found video of them on YouTube and they seem like they'd be good for something a little louder without being a giant cannon on back

The mazdaspeed axleback is pretty loud even WITH all the cats in place.

figured i would post,
once everything ships i am going to be installing obx header to hi flow catted sls stainless steel mid pipe, onto my existing ebay catback

im going to have to do a non fouler on the header bung, and i am wondering about if i need extended wires for the sensor after the cat? i think it is farther away on the sls midpipe. other than that everything should be simple...
..LOL simple! ill probably get attacked by rusted bolts and have the heads snap off everywhere
