Well, we survived the trip. 1100 miles and 37 mpg for the whole thing. I was impressed with how the car handled on the dragon. Words don't describe that stretch of road. There was no setting up for the next corner, you were just reacting. Even watching the videos and talking to people that have been thru it, I was still blown away. I never thought I'd say I was happy to see I-75. Still going thru my pics and waiting for the ones from the photographers on the dragon.

Dealership rant:

Made the mistake of test driving as Fiesta ST on Saturday. Damnit, I want one more than ever now. Sooo much more refined than the 2 despite riding on 17" wheels and having a stiffer suspension. Dealership tried to sell me the one on the spot but I told them unless they wanted to give me $5000 in options for free it wasn't going to happen. After that they were "too busy" to hypothetically build and price one for me so I thanked them for their time and kindly mentioned I would inquire with other dealerships willing to work with me. Before I got to the door they caught up to me and said something about their system being down and asked for my contact information so they could email me a predicted invoice. As of 9 AM this morning still no follow up. I guess they don't want my business. What ever happened to wanting to know what you're going to pay before making a commitment? It's like dealerships don't want you to shop around for the best price, LOL! Anyhow, messed with that Truecar thing and I'm going to talk to two other local dealerhips in the meantime. Nick, I'll be giving you a call sometime this week as well!

honestly, heres who wins...
IF the Pirates stand up and show they have a pair of balls, WHEN McCutcheon gets hit with a pitch (cause it happens everytime the reds and pirates play) i think the pirates win. if the pirates wilt and appear timid after cutch gets hbp then the reds win...

thats my 2 cents having seen alot of games between these 2 teams this year lol



keep in mind i like 2 totally different teams so my opinion is completely unbiased, i have seen though when the pirates react with some moxy after cutch gets hit, they seem to win those games. when they get timid after he gets hit, they lose those games...

I'll give you a call later today. I'll still humor the two dealerships TrueCar pointed out to see what they can do. I'm not trying to be mean, but I see nothing wrong with playing dealerships off eachother to get the lowest price or other "perks" (extended warranties, free maintenance, etc.). Would you have any issue with me using Marlon's "family discount" (haha)?

As for the ride I was impressed with the ST. I haven't driven a regular Fiesta so I can't compare directly but it's a lot more refined than my 2. The ride is stiffer as is expected but there's a lot less road noise despite the stiffer transmission and lower-profile wheels. The interior is A LOT nicer although it feels a little more cramped than the 2. I test-fit the car seat in the back and we had to move the passenger's seat up more than required in the 2. It's liveable but it wouldn't be comfortable for long rides. Fortunately that car seat won't be used forever and the ST would be my DD, which is around town anyway. I think the Recaro seats take up more space than the standard ones but my wife actually like the Recaro's better (assuming the ST standard seats are similar to the standard Fiesta seats). Hatch storage is deeper but not as tall due to the fold-flat rear seat setup. Talking with the salemen I think I could probably "retro-fit" the standard Fiesta hatch setup if I really wanted.

That seems to be more of a Latos thing hitting cutch, but Cueto is a little wild so he or anyone could get hit. Choo will also get hit in the game but everybody is used to that. I won't be surprised if the Pirates win, and win big. The Reds really haven't shown this season that they want to win, especsially as the season was ending and the wild card spot was pretty much theirs.

There will be a situation in the 5th or 6th when Cueto has a high pitch count and runners will be on, Dusty will leave him in and bad things will most likely happen.

Well, pricing is set whether it's X/A Plan, so don't expect anyone to be blowing your socks off. (lol2) I would still try to kiss up to your family to get A-plan, although I'm interested in Marlon's thing.

I honestly wouldn't waste a whole bunch of time trying to get stuff out of dealers. But best of luck regardless. (thumb)
