The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

When are you going to come pick it up? lol

We actually just sold a black ST3 that was fully loaded.
That's the problem. All the ones I find are fully loaded and are $25K+. For that money I can buy a near fully loaded SkyActiv 3 sedan next spring when they come out. I don't need/want the sunroof or the expensive wheels. The info-tainment system is nice (have it our on Flex) but I'm not sure it's worth the money on this car. Hell, I'm debating if the Recaro option is even worth it considering how I'd likely drive the car (replacement for my 2). I'm willing to drive to find the one I want.

You never called me like you were suppose to.
Ah, I completely forgot about that! Sorry, it was a busy Summer. I can give you call today around lunch if that works for you.

Biggest thing now is I still need to drive one. There are apparently a few at various dealerships down here but I really don't like dealing with any of them.

Wooooooow. Was that dealer around here?! I don't even know what to say besides I would have went to management... Then found out what kind of car he drove... And probably where he lived. But, uh, that's just me.

I can remember going to the Mazda dealer in kent when I was in high school and walking in, being greeted, going out to look at an RX8 and the salesman asking how old I was (18) if I wanted to drive it. We both knew I wasn't going to buy it. He asked auto or 6 speed and I said 6 speed, of course. He drove it off the lot and about a mile away we swapped. He even told me to open it up on 261, lol.

I'm pretty sure I had only owned my neon at that point... He may be to blame for my Mazda ownership!

I can't believe a salesperson could think he could get away with talking to a customer like that.

the dealership was in the Pittsburgh Area (close to the airport) and yea its amazing, ive had good times and bad at dealerships and the good ones are places ill refer others to. when i was 18 there was a honda dealership that had an s2k on the lot. stopped in said i was interested in taking it for a test drive and if the numbers could work may be interested in buying it. guy took it out and about a half mile down the road pulled over and let me drive. it was a nice day so the top got dropped during the driver change and told me "if you buy this car, i know you are going to hoon on it, so ill take you on a few roads you can do exactly that now"

such a good experience with that guy, sadly the number just were a little too far for me to make happen (primarily ins, car payment was decent)
a year later my Mother ended up buying a Civic off the same guy. and thats the big thing. alot of salesmen seem to not care that you treat one customer like s*** and they will tell others and you lost more than one potential customer. but if you treat someone right, you can potentially get more than one customer from that.

How old are you?
I'm 25, almost 26.

The Basic ST is suggested at an MSRP of $24,115, to get the recaros you must step up to the ST2 which has a suggested MSRP of $26,620. Of course I can get you one for less but theres not really much mark up on them at all (True savings depends on if I trade or order). Ocassionally there are rebates but its extremely rare. That being said would you honestly rather own a skyactive 3 sedan over an ST??? Two totally different animals.

Are you sure you're talking about the Fiesta ST? The prices you quoted look more like those for the Focus. Ford's website has the base Fiesta ST MSRP listed as $21,400 w/o destination fees. Add the Recaro package and it's up to nearly $23,400. Pile everything on and the car can exceed $26K, which is enough for a decently spec'd out 3. I know they're completely different cars but for the same price each offers advantages. The Fiesta is small, relatively fuel-efficient, and sporty while the 3 is larger, has better fuel economy, but is less sporty. There's also some brand loyalty with Mazda.

Plus at that price you're getting the 2.5 w/ auto & paddle shifters. Unless you wait and opt for the manual 2.5 touring. For the 3

Menchies tonight at 8pm, boys and girls. Might be one of the last nice nights before we call it quits for the year... :(

Sorry about that. Yeah, I can get you a Fiesta ST for cheap but you'll probably have to order it.

Yup!
Okay, you're a little younger than I am. Thought you might have known some of the guys I used to hang out and play soccer with over there.
Haha, yeah, I look a lot older than I actually am.

Wife said yes to menchies provided it's not too cold.

I wonder how things will go with my brother car shopping tonight
