Hey everyone,
I've been lurking around for awhile looking at how to's and just some general information about the car since it was new to me. I decided it was about time I joined and introduced myself to you all. I have a 2003 Laser Blue Protege5 5MT which seems to be the least owned colour according to the poll. Wonder if it's because it's ugly or just rare. Either ways I like it. I bought it at 161k miles and it now has 170k miles. It's still running like a champ. It has some problems like leaking and burning engine oil. I started using Pennzoil Ultra 10w-30 since its a bit thicker, it seems to work. I used it only because I have extra oil from my previous car.
My mods so far are:
Tints all around,
Car starter,
Wider tires,
Shift knob,
Pioneer single din with iPod integration 30pin cable,
Hella Supertones since old one stopped working,
Copper power steering cooling line since old one rusted out.
I can post a DIY for the Hella horns and power steering cooling lines if anyone is interested.
Here's a pic of my P5 pulling my G (which has been sold) out of a pile of snow:
Thanks for reading!
