The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I recorded it and watched it on TV. They showed footage of the NSX before the race it's pretty awesome looking.

Ya it looks pretty sweet. I hope they sell these for under $100k. Then in 20 years, I'll be able to afford a used one!!!!!!

I like the 30 degree idea myself. Usually, the temperature where i used to work was always very uncomfortable...

...
We weren't allowed to change the thermostat where i used to work: the owner would come in, change it on a whim, and then not come back for a week or weeks, depending on what vacation he was on or if he decided the other store needed more attention than ours. We had a nice warm day once, sometime like late winter or early spring, so he comes in "it's warm." turn off the heat/ air conditioner. Next day, it's like 45 for the high, and it's like 45 in the restaurant. Our manager was sad :'( I again... lol'd.
There's a silly sign on the climate control control box, it says, "DO NOT TOUCH OR YOU WILL BE TERMINATED!!!!!!!"
Before my first manager ran away to avoid some sort of harassment thing coming from one of the other workers, and before one of my supervisors also ran away since he had gotten tired of being paid $9 an hour (took him around 8 years), the supervisor used to call him the terminator.

And of course whenever it was too hot outside, it's be like 60 in the restaurant because that's what the owner wanted. He was always worried about cutting costs and saving money in stupid places... i don't know why he always had the climate control doing the opposite of what was happening outside. Even if it's nice out... gotta be the opposite of nice. Some of the workers used to chill in the freezer on hotter days when they got the chance and i did what i call "tim hortons wind tunnel"
You're too hot, and there's no breeze in there, so you open both front doors, the drive through window, and the back door and with any luck the wind blows through the restaurant and everything goes all over the floor.

Good times yo...
Still waitin' for it to be 30. It was a little over 100 out in utah... it sucked.

Today i will be trying to cram that projector on the right into a protege sedan fog light: i want yellow vision while i'm driving around

Also that NSX is pretty cool, but probably won't see one and will never be able to buy one (of course, i wouldn't spend close to 100k on a car if i could)

At that point you get it for the old weird factor more than the power factor. Sorta like my Bavaria. It's old, weird, and slow. Gets horrible mileage, but I dig it. It's all in what you're into.

Yeah I get that. But it's still just a 626. I don't foresee anyone being like "Oh those sexy lines of an '87 626! I must have it! I'll even pay $3500 for one!". Heck, your Bav was even less than that, no? And the Bavaria is at least a cool car.

ps- thanks for the mental image of you poking out of your polo. ack.

Brains, is that yellow projector off of a Lexus? I have some old 350z batwing projectors thay would fit perfectly in the ms3 fogs...if only i could find and extra set of housings cheap

so you are saying alot of guys have been coming up with bulls*** excuses to walk past attractive females desks this morning haha

No females in our side of the office. Jess and Debbie are the only two in the group, and the both sit in different areas.

It's from a '93 lexus es300- same lens that you'd find in an is300, but the rest of the projector is a bit different.
That other one is from a 2000 millenia, it's completely useless but i sort of got screwed into buying it... it's sort of nice though, i just can't use it for anything.

I wanted something designed for use with a hid bulb- my original plan was put something really bright down there that i could use to help spot animals at night while it's just me on the road. It would have been nice to have something with a high/low function, but 2.5" Is pretty much as small as those projectors go unless i shell out the cash for a morimoto matchbox... which isn't going to happen unless a couple show up in a junkyard. These yellow visions are 2", and they need to go in a 2.05" hole, so yellow vision it is then

Good point. I paid $2k for it. I'd probably pay $2k for that 626, since any running and driving car is pretty much worth 1k.

Hehehe.. It's a black polo today so you probably wouldn't have seen it.

Is this what Jess is wearing right now?

*Throws up middle finger* lol. Cold gear, 2 shirts, fleece zip up. I wore a poly outer/lined inner jacket on my way in. I usually have a blanket wrapped around me like a cape and my heater set to 80 but this under armour/fleece combo is working well today. Oh and it's warmer on my side, phens is colder.

$3500 for an '87 Mazda coupe with 120hp (according to Wikipedia)? Yes, it's clean, but that's about it. I'm not sure who would pay that much money for an old family sedan. MSP's are going for that much now-a-days. Wes might buy it though. lulz.
If it were a sedan I think it would be more appealing. Not for me though, I'm looking at saftey features & mpg's more than power features these days.

This.

Do we have a count of those going to the Mid Ohio labor day event with Auto Interests? I just noticed that I missed the discounted registration. Drat.
