Mazdaspeed protege- protege5

it will. i think the msp exhuast is just half an inch longer, but other than that it should fit without any issues.

Yes, direct bolt up to the system but it is longer. Any exhaust shop can cut and weld it for you for around ~$50 I'd guess. Need to shorten the pipe between the muffler and the tip by 4" or so. I had an 03.5 on my P5 and was very happy with it. Nice sound at WOT and no drone on the highway. And in case you didn't know the 03 has a round tip with Mazdaspeed on the side of the tip where the 03.5 has an oval tip with Mazdaspeed on the top of the tip.

Thank you. Yeah I was told it would have to be cut a bit but I was wondering if would drive ok without it being cut?

No need to be cut, mine bolts up with no hassle. I'll post up some pics in the morning.

Then you probably have the MS exhaust made for the P5... it is already made to fit, I have one as well.

Oh it will drive just fine but the tip will stick out a good 4" past your bumper. Just be careful when backing up, parallel parking and walking behind the car so you don't burn your legs! Here's a couple pics of my former 03.5 (I bought it used pre-cut for the P5).

I'm thinking the same. And to clear up any confusion, the MS exhaust made for the P5 and sold by the dealer was made by Bosal whereas the MSP specific exhaust was made by Racing Beat.
