What have you done to your MSP today?

Actually I'm also waiting on the manifold spacer from cre. I can have it 95% back together without it though.

prob gonna get the hood professionally painted and get an overall touch-up to the body, it could def use it.

looks good man. but im not too sure of how i feel with the hood. it should be reversed with the colors. but it doesnt look bad. i think id like it more body colored

Put fresh oil in it and took it for a drive. The car feels superb now with the new suspension and brakes.

What pads are you guys running? I've been using centric pads but I think the car warrants something with a bit more bite but something that doesnt kill my wallet.

I had stoptechs on my other msp and they were great. they eat the rotors but the stopping power was great.

I agree that the Centric don't have enough bite to them. That's why I just switched back to Hawk HPS pads. You can still find some Axxis Metal Master pads at some retailers, but they are harder to find since they got discontinued.

I havent ever looked, but do the dust sheilds on the fronts come off themselves or do you have to pull the whole assembly appart?

Not really feeling the hood paint scheme VIP... In fact never really cared for it on Rush's old car, just looks some strange carbon bra, haha...

^ i know what you're sayin... if it was all CF i would have left it solid like that, but since it was rush's old hood i just painted over the titanium w/ white primer. (looks better than the titanium/sunlight silver mix.)

the opposite looks nice tho -

if i don't end up selling the MSP, i'll eventually have the whole thing re-finished to just solid CF.

I ran at Mid-Ohio yesterday. On the way home I snapped the water/alt belt 10 miles from home. I thought I shut in down in time before she got too hot. But on a new belt on the side of the road and started dring again. Heard a weird sound from the turbo. The car no doesn't build boost and just stops at 0 on my meter. The car doesn't smoke are sound like it is dieing. Almost sounds like a mini super charger is on my car in vaccum, but you can't hear it under idle. I'm guessing it is the wastegate or actuator. Any thoughts?

Have you checked for disconnected pipes?

I'd guess maybe the belt breaking may have torn a silicone coupler... hopefully. I'm not gonna mention a whining turbo at low rpms is bad yet though... might just be more audible if there is a blown coupler making it sound worse than it is.

I hope it is simple like that. I don't have a lot of extra money to spend right now. I hopeto have her back together and running for the Mid-Ohio GrandAm race this weekend.
