The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

i would rock the hell out of a new 6, give me the base model (since its the only one that comes with a manual) tint, drop and wheels and just enjoy the car haha

Touring model will get a manual, slated for production around now last I read. The auto might suprise you, with the paddle shifting wasn't bad at all.

That's what I'm afraid of Nate, that I'll fall in love and do something stupid payment wise. hahahahaha

Auto for me though as I never had a chance to learn manual. :( But if I go this route, the sport is fine with me. Sure I'd like to have some of the features/option on the touring but as the saying goes, beggars can't be choosers.

there's not much difference in the auto between sport and Tourning, "leatherette" seating and bigger wheels at the 2 major things. If you get another set of wheels the 17" on the sport will make perfect winter wheels.

i know the auto gets 1mpg better now than the manual, and i know the auto might be really nice with the paddle shifters and such, but i still would rather have the good ol manual over it... ive ONLY owned manuals since i was 16, and im just more comfortable driving one day in and day out as opposed to an auto

Makes sense, and that 1 mpg is nothing.

speaking of manuals, i got complimented on my car Monday night while loading my groceries into my car (my 6) and the shopping cart boy LOVED it, and among other things, asked if it was "stick" ... LOL

on Friday the guy at the AT&T store was complimenting me on it, said it looked like something out of the F&F!! LOL I've heard that a few times ... and then when I went to get gas right afterward, a guy at the gas station said something nice to me about it too!! My copper hatch always gets the looks and the comments. : ) my girl's a looker fo sho!! ; )

I haven't checked the weather for tonight, anyone hitting up SONIC?? At least it'll be warmer than last week! AND 1/2 price shakes after 8pm!! can't beat that, if nothing else!

I like having my commuter car as autotragic, especially if I hit the traffic.
All the toys can be manual. :)

i dont hit a whole lot of traffic and more than half my drive to work from the new place will be winding country roads so... ill get to play everyday haha

not like much matters cause i dont forsee me buying a new car for several years (barring some catastrophic failure) **i knocked on wood after typing that haha

thats not nice to say haha :P

Speaking of Lauri, on the way to pick up my wife yesterday, I spied a blazing copper metallic hatch in the lot of a used car dealer. Turned in quick to find out more but saw a 'sold' sign under the wiper. :( I'd love to get a 6 hatch!!!!

Anyone know anybody selling a set of cheap wheels that I can run temporarily on my speed? I don't care if the tires are shot I'm only going to run them for like a week. I called the place where my wheels are getting powder coated and they don't know if they will be done by the end of the week. I want to keep this cheap as I will probably sell them when I'm done.

Patrick, I can lend my racing harts, they have Kunho ASX's, they're 17's I can bring them on Saturday to the meet

I found someone selling a set of stockers for 250 with decent tires. Thank you for the offer but I just don't feel comfortable on loaner stuff. I will buy them but I just don't like having other peoples' stuff. freaks me out and stresses me out in case something happens to them

I like having a manual...it means no one can drive my car lol. You all and maybe 3 of my close friends +my dad are the only people i know that can drive a manual.

I don't mean to keep whoring out my parts in here but I don't want to ship this stuff.

I'm selling my Rays/57 Motorsports with the Star Specs if anyone is interested. The tires are to the wear bars though.

Specs: 17x7 +50 w/ 225/45-17 tires. They have sweet Mazdaspeed center caps Ivan installed when he had them. They are all is really good condition but for one with some small scuffing on the lip of the wheel.

I'd like $675 for them.

yeah its like a built in anti-theft device now-a-days hahaha

LOL so true!! We had to take the MS3 back to the tint guy to fix something and he couldn't figure out how to get it in reverse. instead of asking one of us, he went back in the shop and got another guy to come out and move it.

I just sit and wait for people to ask how to get it into reverse. It makes me laugh till they keep letting it move forward. Sho remember the tint guy trying to drive our cars?
