meh, i like the stock lights more than most of those, but hey that's just me.

Gotta disagree.

The US ones are badly designed IMO. Seems like they "oh wait! We forgot to design the version for the US taillight!" Then followed it up by creating some in a hurry. The US one's do not follow the flow of the car's lines at all and to me look like cheap mid 90's taillights. I could actually make a Photoshop to describe what i mean but i'm sure i already bored everyone.

I actually really like the J-spec lights, I just wish they weren't so expensive.

I like the J-Specs, but they are a little pricey for such a minimal mod. I'd like and LED option, but the ones I've seen look a little too cheap to me so far.

As far as the JDM goes, I'm not really seeing how putting the white on top and red on bottom is all that big a difference. I like the Spec-D LED's, though. They could be better, for sure, but unless something else comes along I plan on picking up a set when I get a chance.
