Wheel question for Mazda3 2013

Hi guys. I am a total noob with cars and after researching I got my first mazda.
I brought a mazda3 i sport 2013. It comes with 16'' wheels. I was wondering if I want to color of the wheel to be black or chrome. do I need to change the wheels or can I buy wheel covers and put it on? Such as this: http://www.carid.com/universal-wheel-covers/cci-wheel-cover-233271.html

Would this be a hard job for a total beginner? Is there a specific store that is more reliable?

Did it come with aluminum wheels or the ugly steel wheels that are hidden with the plastic hubcap\wheelcovers? If its the later you can buy basic covers like youre linking to. If you dont know the difference just post a photo of it and we will tell you.

Either way you can paint your aluminum rims or steel wheels. There is a product called plastidip that you can buy at lowes in black (online for other colors) for 3 bucks (or so) a can and its completely removable. Its like a smoothing liquid rubber spray so if youre ever dont like it you can remove it with a pull. Just youtube plastidip and you can find all kinds of stuff on it.

Thanks for the reply! The wheels are steel wheels with hubcap cover on top. Would you say it's better idea to get a cover or use plastidip? Which one is the safer route? I am pretty new so I don't want to ruin my car. In addition, for getting a new wheel cover, if my car is 16" wheel , what size cover am I suppose to buy?

Plastidip is so easy...pop the cover off and clean it, then spray it in light coats...when youre done itll be black...if you dont like it all you have to do is rub it in a corner with your finger until a tiny part lifts up then you pull it off in one big piece..

See how wasy it is....this is THE way to try something if you dont want to risk ruining your car
