Ive been searching this forum for info regarding the actual install of the 255lph walboro fuel pump, but with no luck. found alot of treads about the pump itself just none to install it. My problem isnt getting the pump out or anything its just that the walboro pump is physically longer than my stock pump and the clip that holds it in place does not fit over the walboro. So basically, either im dumb (quite possible) or theres some custom mounting work to be done here? i sort of assumed it was a bolt on replacment. any help?

Cut the 4 prongs off of the walbro pump. Also dont reuse the rubber spacer that is used on the stock pump. This should let the clip secure around the holder with the walbro in place. DO NOT CUT THE CLIP. TRUST ME. I cut it to fit my Deatschwerks....worst idea ever. Helped a friend install his walbro and cutting the prongs off worked perfectly. Cutting the clip lets the fuel pump pop out from time to time, and after pulling it out roughy 7-8 times, I finally "fixed" it

im looking at the pump, i cant really identify what u meen by prongs? and mine came with its own rubber spacer, which is actually bigger than the oem pumps rubber space. do i use neither of them?
