So, I'm building again...

Well, prior to all this fun, I had ordered a mishimoto rad and fan shroud setup, along with mishimoto's transmission cooler and Samco radiator hose kit.

They showed up today.

Obviously cant do anything with them currently, but damn they look great.

Have you tried bolting up your fan shroud yet? Mine didn't fit worth a poo so I sent it back. But the rad is pretty nice.
 
Fit isn't perfect, but its workable.

I was kinda interested to note that you don't get a choice of finish anymore.... I wanted a black shroud, but I guess I shouldn't complain.

She's off for repairs finally. Esurance took liability and is repairing the vehicle back to previous spec.

Also, I splurged a little on my other fascination this week due to car downtime...

They're going back to the OEM bumper since it's being done at a shop owned by esurance, not my normal place.

Overall, I'm just happy to have her back where she was, and without the threat of writing it off as a total loss.
 
I'll be taking the car to LHT for a one off manifold + aluminum cat back.

They do amazing work, and their aluminum exhausts are a fraction of the weight of my magnaflow.

(though, I am still waiting on my car to be put back together after the accident... awaiting a replacement Seibon hood)

I was never planning to go crazy on it.

I'm actually more interested in the weight loss and cleaner bay.

Maybe I'm weird, eh.

Estimated price is $1500 for the entire exhaust, when I get the car back (monday!!!) from the repairs, I'm taking it straight over there so they can take a look and see what they're working with.

I'm guessing if you break it down, you're probably looking around $775-900ish for fabbing the header, and the remainder for the aluminum exhaust.

But, I will confirm and let you know!
 
Not bad considering my breakdown is about that...and yours will all mate up perfectly the first time.

$600 racing beat catback + $300 sls catted midpipe + $400 pacemaker header...
 
It amazes me how expensive the mazda is compared to my nissans. Almost done piecing an inline 6 turbo motor(everything but trans and harness) for that.

I am sure you will be happy when its all done. Interested to see the alu exhaust setup.

She looks beautiful!
