What have you done to your MSP today?

Yeah. Not very happy considering the cost of these things. I've only run it for maybe 3 months. 626 IM back on for now, with stock ecu no tuning and 440s.

On a side note I am very confident that this will be resolved and I still think hes a great seller. As pissed as I was to see this I did not think for a second that I was SOL.

That sucks and looks like the whole tube for that cylider took a s***. Hopefully it doesn't cost that mush to fix.

Going to Harbor Freight to pick up my engine stand, and hoist this morning. Hopefully the ol' girl will be runnin', and drivin' again by the end of January.

Just found out all four cylinders have low compression. Can't build the motor right now, so considering selling it as is to someone who can..

Maybe a NA miata will help ease the pain..

I don't know the story as to why you checked compression, but a cheap compression tester will give inaccurate results. Keep that in mind. And how "low" are the numbers?

Mostly because the coolant was almost empty (didn't notice any leaks tho) and when filling it I noticed tiny spots of what looked like oil inside the reservoir. I was worried it was the head gasket. So I took it to the shop to have it checked out and to install a timing belt kit since I was due for that anyway. The test showed Cyl 1: 120 Cyl 2: 120 Cyl 3: 65 Cyl 4: 110

No I was using a modified energy suspension bracket. The units that come with the progress rear sway don't fit for s***. I should have just stuck with the factory RSB.

Who did the compression test? No doubt that motors got issues, but did they have the throttle body open when they did the compression test?

I broke 3 of the factory brackets while racing. I too use energy suspension, but I heated mine up and curved over a pipe that was the same size as the bushing.

A shop in KC I've gone to for years. I don't know if they had the throttle body open. Why?

Look what I stumbled across...
