Gotcha. Seems like it's some kind of secondary tension spring for the clutch pedal then. Does the clutch feel lighter? As long as it still returns to the normal location and the travel is unchanged I don't see any reason why you couldn't drive it.

My friend at work has this amp/speaker cab/boom box/sub/thing for sale if anyone wants it? We don't know jack about subs. $75 takes it.
He said the amp and speakers work fine but the cap is leaking. It's at my work if any of you local cats are interested, please let me know. I don't want to list it on Craigslist because I don't my email blowing up from every ricer in the land asking "Yo dawg, dat sub is dope. Will u take $7 for it?". Lulz.

Well, I got most of the parts from the protege cleaned up. Speak up if you want any parts. I'm was gonna give the local guys first shot. There's 2 and 3 gauge a-pillar pods and a steering wheel pod, corksport frt strut tower brace, GTSpec front lower tie bar, full set of Nology hotwires w/coils, the infamous intercooler, vacuum block, cyberdyne oil pressure and voltage gauges, autometer boost/vacuum gauge and an aem wideband w/o2 sensor. I've got a nitrous set up as well, but being a hazmat item I can't ship it.

I'd have to change the cab, that's why I said might. If the speakers are too deep there won't be enough room for good acoustics

cab = speaker box, not truck cab
the boxes can be designed to amplify certain frequencies, like an equalizer, but that makes it a challenge on small spaces

It's a PlanetAudio Rx5.600 5channel mosfet amplifier. 100wx4+300x1 and it lights up the planet logo in the center. I used for about a month before selling the system because of autoX rules. Great sub for operating aftermarket door speakers and a mild sub. I would like to get $75 plus shipping or could pick it up or meet up on my next trip. It was $250 when I got it, still looks brand new and is sitting in the box with it's certification.
