What have you done to your P5 today?

Woke up early to do my 500 mile oil change. Drove to work and realized how uncomfortable my ride is. Tons of vibration, hard to steer, I LOVE IT!!!

Flickering sounds like a lack of power. Either check your connections, or get a power harness. I have one that recently has been going out, I wiggle the plug and it's back up, just a lousy connection. I plan on rewiring it this weekend

Damn! I was hoping I wouldn't have to resort to the harness. I guess I'm glad I bought it with the kit... just in case.

As for the plugs being loose... I found out that the female side or the 9006 plug from the bulb has actually been expanding, causing one of my bulbs to go out intermitantly. I just got in there with a small flat head and squeezed everything back together and it's good as new... At least that was the problem with my DDM kit.

Good! I can't believe you bought the harness and didn't use it. The harness supplies backup power in case the the stock wiring fails to deliver the proper voltage. These ballasts have a very specific cut-on voltage which they operate at, they wont operate unless the proper voltage is supplies. Since they do draw a good bit of current, the harness with the wired in fuse acts as a backup power source allowing it to draw more current if needed, and the fuse limits how much it can draw so the ballasts don't burn out. I feel bad not running a harness. I'm going to go order one now!

Lights are gonna look badass Ty!

As for my car today...got a call from the new mechanic I dropped her off at for state inspection. He's seen the car before and has a monthly coupon for state inspection and emissions for $39.95...my regular mechanic charges $79.95. For half the price I figured I'd take the car to the new guy. Calls me earlier to tell me the front and ps motor mounts are torn and it would be $427 to replace them with the inspection fee added. Also said I'd fail for the tinted bumper lights and he won't sign off on a new sticker unless I replace them or sand the tint off. WTF....they have been that way for six years and never had any issues.

So anyone have a set they want to sell? :) Off to research just what changing the mounts will entail.

Lucky for you Jeff, the front and passenger side MM are the easiest to replace. Should take you about 2 hours (well, it would take me two turtle-paced hours). Let me double check my garage tonight if I have a spare OEM MM's laying around I can ship you.

Thanks Evan and figured they were the easiest...I know the rear is a biotch. Just hoping that when I replace the PS, I don't remove the entire inner fender thanks to rust. LOL

Luckily the PS mount is bolted to something a little more solid than the bad fender support. If Mr. Evan can't get you some used ones I'd recommend getting OEM replacements. I've tried the beck/arnley PS and front mounts, they're crap. The PS mount fits kinda crooked (the engine-side flange is visibly different from the OEM design) and most importantly, they're soft as hell.

The grille is a cmod ebay grille. It looks good, but it has a dip in the middle which makes for a gap between the hood and grille that I have been trying to get them to rectify, not sure thats going to happen though.

It's not too bad, even I did all 3 but the rear...still need to deal with that!
