iPhone 5

No more USB errors for me,but I still can't answer a call over Bluetooth.....anyone have any luck with their iPhone 5?

Hopefully this gets fixed soon... still getting USB errors here. I have to answer incoming calls with my actual phone instead of over bluetooth like I'm some sort of primitive beast. :'(

I wonder what the difference might be, my wife answers her iPhone 5 from the steering wheel.

According to Option 10 on the "Failure Analysis" screen (Push Power and then Seek Up together)
Software Version:
SH: J53CUS034a
R32: J53CUS034*-AD
USB: MN949 1.13
SAT: 0221

Not sure what they all mean, but they appear to be the software versions on the head unit.

I can't get the iPod option to show when connecting the iPhone 5 via cable. Very frustrating! BT works just fine

Anyone have a problem with answering a call over bluetooth? My iPhone 5 paired fine and the audio works fine, however, when a call comes in - pushing either the pickup on the steering wheel or the Mazda touch screen won't answer the call. It just keeps ringing until the caller hangs up.

I am having this same issue as well. I have no issue calling out via Bluetooth, it connects perfectly to the system, but receiving incoming calls, I need to quickly switch to iPhone or speaker, but half the time I usually lose the call....did you find are solution yet?

I too have this issue, incoming calls will not answer properly through Bluetooth on iPhone5 with IOS6. Did not have the issue on my iPhone4s on IOS6.
I have been able to answer the phone using the phone then select output through Mazda on Bluetooth but that kinda defeats the object of 'hands-free'!
It's annoying and want a fix quick!

I'm not running into any issues with BT or USB. The only problem I'm having is that Siri isn't working through the vehicle, only the phone. Tried un-paring and re-pairing. For those that have Siri working, did you do anything special?

Mine only seems to work when I've got an iPod plugged in with the USB. Somehow that makes Siri work over Bluetooth on my iPhone!

I've been having the call-answering problem too. I have a new iPhone 5, and I can make calls over bluetooth fine, but I can't receive calls. I have to Transfer to Handset, and then I can hear the caller through my phone, and then I transfer back to vehicle, and I can talk over bluetooth.

Same. This is not a Mazda specific issue either. Tons of other cars are having the same problem - hopefully iOS 6.0.1 has a fix.

Yes same problem reported to mazda and apple . No fix! Been to dealer twice they say haven't seen problem before but forums are full of this problem. It seems to be the iphone 5 only

Having same problem iphone 5 . Dealer , apple and Bluetooth call centre have no idea how to fix
I answer call cannot hear the person and they cannot hear me

Scratch my last statement. I can't get Siri to work over bluetooth or USB. Ipod controls no longer work via bluetooth and I can't make a call using the voice activation system via bluetooth anymore. I can take calls and make them as long as they're initiated on the phone. Definitely weird since voice works for everything else on the car. Waiting for the next iOS update I guess. Wondering when/how we can update the software for Mazda's infotainment too. Assuming it'll be USB since there's a port, but it would be nice to know (like Ford's USB updates that can be done at home).

Aussiejosh just to confirm you have a iphone 5 and you can recieve calls ok using the bluetooth of the car? Just want to make sure as so many cannot. The dealer said there phone worked in my car but when i went back they were using a 4s not a 5. They tried the 5 and could not hear the peson ringing and the person could not hear them. regards Chris Doreen Vic If you have the 5 i wonder what you are doing diferent that makes it work.

6.0.1 did not fix the issue. Still cannot hear caller, caller cannot hear me more then 50% of time. When I transfer call back to handset then transfer back to car I have call. Damn annoying, Apple still has not address issue. I just called and they acted like this is first time they are hearing about it.

Windpusher same here. Apple sent me a blutooth earplug for free to use till its all sorted but they still say its Mazda not Apple

Standard corporate he said she said. This issue happens with iphone 5's in other cars with bluetooth as well. Tried it in a friends MB and anothers Infiniti and got the same results. Apple just seeded 6.1 to developers so there should be a larger release soon. I'd still like to know how/when to update Mazda's infotainment OS. Haven't found information anywhere on this.

So I just updated to 6.01 and it seems to have resolved part of my issue. Mazda voice control wasn't working due to the phonebook not downloading properly. It's now downloading to the car and full voice functions are working again.
