JDM_Pro5's Build Thread

Awesome thanks for the link and part numbers...so how do you like the AAC brackets...did they work? And on the edge of headlights do you still have the clip that connects with the bumper and do the AAC brackets fix that?

AAC are great. Some of the tabs around the bumper area are missing but that doesn't matter with these. I've seen a bumper with every tab missing being held up with the AAC brackets. As far as the clip on the edge of the headlights, the AAC didn't effect that much. You can adjust your bumper and tighten the AAC brackets in place to help with those corners, but mine stick out a bit. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to put a bolt into that tab or what?

GTFO party pooper. Didn't know how many P5's were built in 2001 since they were only made in 02 and 03 models.

A few days ago I bought a bunch of plastic clips and fasteners from NAPA as well as Seafoam for the P5 and Mazda3. I reattached the side skirt after JB Welded all the brackets for extra strength

Things I need but don't want to spend money on...

1. Inner and Outer Tie Rods (they could use updating)

2. Struts (It would be nice to have four brand new name brands struts)

3. Washer Fluid Pump (I'm lazy and continue to forget to order this)

4. Mazda6 Rear wiper (looks great, my stock wiper is a POS metal rake)

I'm sure there is more

Front or rear? I'll send you mine, free of charge. They are sitting in the washer bottle in the pile of P5 parts I don't need. Just pay shipping. :)

No. 4 - Be careful when taking your stock wiper arm off though.. It was a real PITA for me when I did it, 2 trips to the junk yard later..

Thanks for the heads up. Nice car and funny stickers.

P.S. The only acceptable answer to your question is "At Midnight" because that's the best color evar!!!1

Hoping to order myself Morimoto H1 minis with the Gatling shroud for Christmas. Going to paint the headlight housing and shroud gunmetal using Advance Auto's gunmetal kit. Going to satin blackout the low beam reflective lens and the headlight housing between the high and low beam (Two triangles). I'll most likely leave the high beam as-is. I color editing a picture of a retrofit to get an idea of the finished product

Looking forward to the lights!
I too am looking into doing some retro fits.
Right after I retro fit some cash into my wallet.
