Rusty Car Hood Trend

Seriously this is still trending?! Here go out and buy a roof rack too but don't use it to haul stuff, just drive around with it while you create drag and win style points...

I kinda think rust would be a nice contrast with spicy orange.. a hood takes two minutes to take off & cost from the wreckers is $65.. I considered this too.
but clear coat it once you're happy with the level of rust. make sure you hang your other hood up or have a laid flat for storage to avoid warping

to the op. I'm too lazy to post the pic but if you Google: s2000 57optimise. you will find an s2000 with a hood that has been wallpaper done with a wild pattern. pretty ill IMO. and I don't think its played yet.

Me saying it looks like absolute s*** is MY "decent" opinion.

Dont want opinions, then dont post the s*** on an internet forum. If you're expecting butterflies to come shooting out of our asses, that s*** ain't happening... Oh and just so we're clear, I'd tell you it looks like s*** if it was sitting right in front of me. LOL

I have a lot of friends heavily into VW's...and i'm not saying this is a VW trend...but, the stuff they do to their cars...i'll simply never understand.

stretching 205's over 9.5 inch wide wheels in front...staggering a Jetta to fit 11" wheels in back, regardless of its FWD nature. A 911 with 11 or 12's in the back looks insane, as the engine is literally sitting on those things...a Jetta or Golf?...why u make the rong wheels wide?

as far as rusted hoods and/or panels...no thanks.

I'm pretty sure 99.9% of people worldwide usually try to avoid rust by any means necessary. But hey, whatever it's your car. Honestly, if you want to try it out, then do it. Some may like it, others may not. Just drive around and see the reactions of local residents. Asking for opinions on the forum is going to get you more negative answers than positive. If it really looked good, probably more than half of the forum would be doing this right now. But, you don't see ANYBODY doing this. Has it been done? Yes. Is it still being done? Probably by some, but those that I have seen do it on here have already moved on and have regular hoods again that are easy on the eyes.
