SPICYTARZAN Build Thread!!

air in the system? thermostat? or what has happened to me twice, a heater hose blew. Another time, my water return elbow crapped out. Any noticeable coolant anywhere, hissing or steam?

at first there was some smokebut i think it was from left over oil after i put everything back together when i pulled over everything seemed to be fine and in place correctly but there was some antifreeze on the ground maybe 7-8 drops

try to pinpoint where it is coming from. Check all coolant lines from upper and lower radiator hoses, heater core hoses, water return elbow, coolant on top of trans. case, if on stock radiator, look for coolant pooling in the bottom end cap of the radiator. Look at the water pump also. If all else fails, let the car run until it warms up and look for the source.

alright thanks man it seems your the only one around to help me lol i gatta get my s*** back to my house lol

If you don't know that much about this car, it's easy to **** s*** up. Why don't you take some time to read around and find errors that people have made before that you can avoid. Just wrenching away precariously like so many before is how the protege can become a s*** box real fast. Other than that good luck bro.

I mean ive been on the forum for about 8 months and other than switching the air filter lol this is the first time ive tried to do something its just inexperience im sure when you first started u had a million questions lol

some people have used the the rear window spoiler or whatever it's called. I don't think it's the exact piece. It is an ebay replica that could be made to fit.

those are gay lol i ment like rear bumper i need a new one some asshole drove my car drunk and backed into a pole lmao and the only protege rear bumpers i can find are the ones with the air scoop things cut into them

Sadly that wont work. That rebuild is for a journal bearing turbo. The MSP GT25 is a ball bearing system and is made so that you can't rebuild it. You will have to get a whole new center cartridge. Or what you could do is get a used T25 from a SR20DET and swap the housings from your OEM turbo.

Have you tried rockauto.com for that rear bumper?

I have not, I think i could fix it easily some sanding but i dont want it to sit all primered up waiting for a paint job. And for some reason my rear bumper sags does anyone else have this problem?

Just out of curiosity and pure boredom what would it take to twin turbo a MSP?
