What have you done to your MSP today?

Probably $100 for another reason...lol...

Put a new windshield in mine today...was mega-cracked, also got an offer to trade for a nice white Protege5...hopefully it comes through...

I'll pull the rod and main caps before I buy it. IF those are okay, I'll still buy it. It's worth $100.

Found an 03 black mica Protege, 5spd for sale locally...Think I may buy it and drive it while I'm building the MSP... And I've got everything to convert it to an MSP afterwards. LOL

Yours? What happened? Possibly.

yea mine.well, i apparently had a oil leak that didnt get to the ground and never smoked so i had no idea. spun a rod bearing. I caught it early and the crank didnt look bad so i replaced the rod bearings and the rod was tight again, seemed fine then three days later it came back so the crank must have been too far gone. Then somehow through all the downtime the corksport radiator decided to leak a bunch. NOt sure how that happened as i wasnt even around the thing. when it rains it pours i guess.

Ive come to a point in my life where i need a normal car that doesnt require premium gas and has better gas mileage. And i dont feel like replacing the engine. The cars 9 years old now and if i was to replace the engine id want to forge it and so forth. Its just time to move on. Im on the road a lot for my job and i cant do the race car thing anymore.

Since its a timebomb i figure its best to sell it as is. Im going to make an official post. 90% of the mods are staying on the car, im just taking the radio and sub since i cant get that deck anymore and its my fav. I have to figure out what i want to get for it. kbb is 6k in excellent condition. so im thinking in the 2500.00 range. The cars in good shape still and with all the mods its worth way more than that if one was to just sell them off. It has a lot of mods that can be sold so i dont think its a bad price (even used the mods are easily worth more than that). I just dont have the time to do so myself. Ill make an official post this week.

so I drove my car today.....I need more psi lol the pull is nice and smooth because of the 2871r but it doesn't give me the kick that I want running what I would estimate is 6-7 psi

So, the guy "had family issues" to deal with when I was supposed to meet him about the Protege... of course... ****** Craigslist. I really want the car only because of all the MSP parts I've got to put on it- 50k Tokico HPs, Racing Beat springs, MSP exhaust, MSP black mica bumper, and of course if I wanted to get really nuts I could use my OE manifold and s/j pipes to turbo it.

installe drear motor mounts, changed oi and install filter.

phew...

i'm tired!

They aren't the same. The autos have a transmission cooler built in.

However, with some cars, you can still use them and just cap off the transmission cooler part when used in a manual car. I'm not completely sure if this can be done on the Protege or not.

He's asking about the motor itself, not the fan assemblies or the radiator.

Picked up some parts for Ryan today while picking out my motor

Any thoughts about my PS pump problem?
Let my buddy co-drive the MSP with me today and blew another PS pump. I don't think it likes spinning and pushing fluid while the motor is around 6,000RPM's. 3 pump this year that I've blown the sensor out and shot fluid out of. Appearently the PS pump is a bigger problem to me than the FS motor. Ran my best time with 3 other people in the car. Was a blast, but didn't get to run my 5th run because of the PS pump failure.
