Guitarists?

I listened to a little of your band, Cam, but I don't really do much heavy stuff. Do you have any blues stuff recorded?

Chris, I can't wait to bang on da drums after Phen leaves. How are your lessons coming along?

I've been too swamped lately to go to lessons. He also got busy with college. BUT! the good news is that he said he'd just come over and hang out and show me stuff and wouldnt want my moneys. Fine with me lol. I've continued to practice when I have the time though.

That's always good. My GF is a music teacher and for the students she really likes she ends up just hanging out and "teaching" for free. She probably has lost a ton of money over the years but made some good friends. haha

Cam, that's an awesome song. I love those chords for the chorus/bridge. And he's funky too! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aRyOelu5wzI&feature=relmfu

I wish I were black... :(

I juuuuust got hip to YouTube lessons. I grew up without the internetz and no lessons so I learned everything by ear. So it would take a while to learn complicated tunes by replaying them over and over. Now I look up the song on YouTube and there is always someone playing along. Brilliant! Thank you random YouTube stranger! haha

^youtube is a great teacher. After 5 years of lessons, I moved on and begun watching complicated songs on youtube and began figuring them out. Here are some examples I moved on to.

I also watched many Paul Gilbert Videos, both instruction, and Japanese TV shows he starred in like Rock Fujiyama

I personally cant learn like that though. Some people can. I dont know what the difference really is but, I take in way more in person. IDK maybe I'm just a ratard

He's the man. ALways took the time to play with me when I was starting out. I have evolved exponentially and now we share a stage downtown for city music events

I wish my brother was like that. He stopped going to school for teaching music because "there's no money" in it. It's not about the money. It's about the passion and love for it. That's how I feel anyways. My dad really pushed that on me and I'm glad he did. I would be a very unhappy person if I only worried about money.

Zakk Galafinakis and Danny McBride are both from here and went to the School of the Arts in my City

I can't read music. I learn by ear. I'm less of a musician and more of a repeater. Learned how a guitar works and practiced manipulating it. I have done this to various instruments. Just muscle memory and understanding of note layout. Like I said though, I don't consider myself a true musician

You don't consider yourself a true musician? You're in a band, you play an instrument and you're passionate about music. Sounds like a musician to me. :)

I grew up with friends in band studying music theory, reading and writing music. I have such a hard time writing music, may be my ADD. I can throw down blues scales all day long, but it's just learned

I have the PRS Mark Tremonti Guitar! Alter Bridge was better IMO

Edit* Check out a few Foxy Shazam songs. They are all very different
