If anyone needs to replace there solenoids I bought them from the site below its for a 02 626 but the number stamped on the part is the same number stamped on the solenoid on my P5, if this is a repost then my bad, but I figured I would share my find, because this has fixed my acceleration problem instantly and it cleared code P0660

Hi. Your post is older but I thought I'd give you a try. I can't find the part number for a 2002 Mazda Protege5 2.0 L VICS or the VTCS. Doing keyword searches even on a Mazda dealer site comes up empty.

The link you've provided is for an OES Genuine EGR Vacuum Solenoid.

Can you help me? Also, which solenoid did you replace? Both the VICS and the VTCS? Were they easy to replace? Where can I find instructions on how to do these two jobs.

Sorry to bombard you with a bunch of questions but I need to resolved this issue and if I can do it myself (not experienced), it would be ideal. Thank you kindly for your time.

number 4 and 5 are the solenoids

i replaced the solenoid closest to the passenger side, its really easy to replace, open your hood and look above the intake manifold(closest to the passenger side) your gonna see the 2 solenoids on a bracket right above the intake mani, disconnect the vacuum lines, electrical connections, remove the 1(2) bolts holding the metal bracket down and push out the solenoids and reverse the order you took things apart.....just make sure you put the vacuum lines where they go (take a pic and use it as a reference before you take it apart), i will try to look for some pics to show you where the solenoids are....hope this helps
