engine bay clean up ideas

Another question is what has everyone used in the past for rerouting and replacing brake lines, fuel lines and power steering lines? Resources and feedback please! Thanks!

Replace the brake lines with AN3 Stainless Teflon lines

I was ablt to take them out because I have a standalone so I will not Trigger a CEL.. If you take them out, you will blow a ton of codes.

lol happened to me. a few days ago. heard one was the map sensor etc. put them back on and bam codes are gone

You might be able to run the car with the sensors attached to the wires but not attached to anything else.
Just to get them out of the engine bay..
There is room behind the firewall where the wiper motor parts are, (The Drain Shelf, Black Plastic cover)

well I do have them by the bottom of the firewall where the harness runs across just the map/ and other black sensor with the vac line going to the bottom of the IM at the vac port it has.

I will end up putting then behind the firewall under the wiper tray. Just pull back some loom, extend some wires and vac lines.where does the ground wire go that's bolted to the passenger side motor mount? It goes off somewhere up front, maybe 8 gauge wire

Hey Brian what did you do with that steel line coming from the fire wall going across to the drivers side? And what did you use to replace your stock fuel lines going to the fuel rail?

Do you just cap the two outlets coming from the sensor that had the lines going to it from the can ??

steel lines in the bay are more then likely your AC lines and those are easily removed, and Brian used Braided AN6 lines to rebuild his fuel system front to back, most of us just connect to the hard lines with the braided lines for the Perrin rail

NO NO NO lol ill have to take a pic at lunch. there is a sensor kinda on top of the mani that has two regular rubber hoses going into the top of the canister. that sensor

its easy to have a clean bay without removing or replacing anything.. just takes time and patience you do not have to remove the functional parts of the car to have a clean bay...

I do, but i just moved all of my canisters and sensors around and hide them out of sight. I drive my car daily and do not want to deal with the nonsense of removing things that are needed IMO.

If i had a standalone i would remove more unnecessary crap but I prefer to tuck and hide a bay with all the stuff so people have no clue whats different. Any one can remove everything in an engine bay to make it look "clean" takes more work to hide things in plain sight and have them look clean..

The AC? You are going to have to be a bit more clear with the description..

Also, The fuel lines were replaced with AN6 Stainless..

But, just think of all the weight your saving!?!?! *hysterical giggle*

I have more then enough things removed from my car to make it lighter i still get 900km to a tank the way my car is currently.. I just like having women ride in my car and would rather not scare them all away.. (wink)

The very lack of comfort and "Safe Feeling" makes the car more like a Roller Coaster and attracts the right sort of girl....

Most girls that I offer a ride to are excited that they are about to be abused mentally and physically by MP5T.

It's exciting, like bungee or jumping out of a plane... A Rush.....

If a girl is looking for BMW comfort in a Protege... she better be STUPIDLY HOT... because her brain wont put food on the table...
