The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I didn't think you would've wanted to go.....it was in Steeler Country. :D

I'm too old to worry about Rapestburger cornering me in a bathroom stall.

We could start having stroller meets

Question: is the BMV allowed to sell\share my information with anyone? That is the only company\corporation\entity that knows about me buying the Hyundai, so why the **** am I getting insurance offers specifically saying "... you bought a Sonata blah blah your warranty is expired blah blah get it from us"???

I haven't told my insurance about it, I haven't even completed the registration... WTF?

The dealership you bought it from knows. Your insurance company knows. The bank that owns the loan knows. And now anyone who that information was sold to knows. Who knows who they'll sell it to.

I wouldn't even have told the BMV. Before I got my Miata plates switched over to the truck, I had several people say "don't register it, don't insure it, just let it sit there" because as soon as they know, they'll start putting pressure on you to get it registered and insured. I'm guessing it's for them to make money, since I wasn't really worried about someone wrecking into it while it sat in my back yard.

1. I bought it from a friend, so no dealers know. I paid $50 for it, no banks involved.

2. Farmers doesn't know about it as I can't drive it yet, I haven't even requested a quote for it.

3. All I did was put the title in my name, haven't done registration\plates.

Then yes, it would appear they do.

Too old, or too willing? (hump)

It's their turn to come out here next time. lol We went out there on July 29th for her baby shower, and this past weekend to meet their now 2.5 wk old daughter. Maybe we can hit up the Cbus Zoo in the Spring.

My truck sat for around 2 months before I put the title in my name. I guess that's the ticket. Life and learn, I guess.

I know that in the last couple of years they put a small penalty on titles that were notorized and you waited a long period of time before registering it. My dad got dinged on one of his cars for doing that. Also, I know that in some towns (Surely not Ravenna or Rootstown because I've done this) but unregistered cars on your property can score you a ticket. Munroe Falls is one of those places. Really surprised they haven't found the 2002 yet.

If the dipshit kid next door was smart, he could do it. I wouldn't put it past him. Waste of flesh that he is.

I have it in a garage with the trailer, with the plates I had on the BMW. I'll register in a couple of weeks, almost ready to be driven.

I saw that on Chive and thought of Phen too. He looks to be the right age for Phen's kid too, 5 years old-ish?
