The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Colorado's aren't bad on mpg's, I was thinking along the lines of a Silverado thinking the baby seat wouldn't fit. I bet I could easily get away with a 2x4 here. I hardly ever uses 4x4 when I had my Dakota.

That's what sucks too. There are only a handful of days a season where you actually need 4WD, but on those days, holy s*** are you glad you have it! The trailblazer is our first 4WD vehicle, and it's amazing how awesome that thing goes in the winter.
.
My old Colorado didn't do that bad either actually, 240lbs of sandbags in the bed, and it went pretty decently. I might consider another 2WD, but Steph is adamant about 4WD, and if I have to drive an hour to my facility during the winter, it would be essential.

That's an awesome price! I paid $21,400 for my regular cab when they first came out in'04. lol

4cyl are pigs in those things though. I guess they get into the low/high 20's city/highway.

i would need the 5 cyl. to tow the camaro and that's close to the limit

My coworker bought a brand new Colorado with every option except the larger wheels. It's a nice truck, and I've been regularly surprised the mileage we get when we take it on our golf trips. The only thing I can't get over is how it sounds like there is a bag of marbles in the head on initial start up. Easily the most valve train noise I've ever heard on a newer vehicle for about 3 seconds. I'm sure they all do it, it's just weird.

It kind of is. It would do it, with proper modifications (towing tune, trans cooler, electronic brake controller) but it wouldn't be happy about it. haha

I might opt for a V8 one if I wait a few more years to get a truck, or just upgrade if I buy a used 5cyl one now, but it still doesn't have the payload that full sizes have. The new body style silver ado's get the same mileage as the V8. 355's too, and aren't that much more expensive.

Yea, it's a weird motor. Inline...lol

Not to change the subject, but check out what I saw in Delaware today!

It IS good looking. But are they really that much bigger than the Civic behind it? Is that an RS? Sorry, I don't know new cars.

It is an RS. According to a guy at JEGS, it's one of 6 that Ford Racing has rolling around in the US. One of the guys was driving it and stopped at JEGS here in Delaware for a meeting. I should have put a business card under the wiper. Maybe he could've stopped by the office. (lol2)

would any body like to buy a cooler? I found another one that actually fits in my trunk so I'd like to get rid of this one, only used it 3 times, still looks new. $20 bucks

I took out a manual trans 2012 Corolla after work today...I'm even thinking about going out to the ville this weekend and driving a new civic...Just trying to come up with a few options...

I hope you end up sticking with a Mazda.

that would be called liability coverage. I pay full coverage for instances like this spring where I got cited as at fault for someone stopping in the middle of an intersection on a green light. In my mind they are at fault for being a dumbass but that's not how the system works
Yeah after I posted that I realized this lol.

I was just thinking that you should try a Ford Focus too. ;)
