UnZipHer Mazda2 Build Thread

it's time for Audio! i will be keeping things very simple & clean with this car. going for a very tight, crisp bass, with lots of clarity through the components. the PG are one of the best bang for your buck components on the market, and the Alpine PDX amp lineup speaks for themselves.

this will be very different from my last audio build... new goodies on order are

Alpine SWR-823D
Type-R 8" subwoofer with dual 2-ohm voice coils
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-1yWiVDgKLFg/p_500SWR823D/Alpine-SWR-823D.html

Alpine PDX-V9
5-channel car amplifier — 100 watts RMS x 4 + 500 watts RMS x 1
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_500PDXV9/Alpine-PDX-V9.html?tp=35808

2 pairs
Phoenix Gold RSd5cs
5-1/4" Radial Sd Series 2-way Component System RSd5cs
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_7339_Phoenix-Gold-RSd-5cs.html

so my last audio build was a bit insane and loud for most... but i loved it! going somewhat opposite with the Mz2!

12" JL Audio W7
Focal 165 A1 Front Door Speakers
Hertz ECX 570 Rear Door Speakers
JL Audio Slash 1000/1v2
JL Audio Slash 300/4v2
Pioneer Avic-x920bt

You are doing really spectacular work here! I really cannot believe how much work you've done on this thing.... It's truly a breath taking example of the 2. Jeez.... I think I hate you, hahaha.

But really, you doing this much work and getting so much acclaim and coverage does us all a good service. You're opening doors and helping the 2 become recognized as a viable platform to be modded by both the general public, and the manufacturers. Really excited to see where this all ends up!

thank you very much!

That's the best M2 I've seen buddy! Really nice and clean. And don't worry about people saying useless things about your project, there is different ways to get somewhere...

The only thing missing is a nice little turbo setup and then you're gonna have an official "Mazdaspeed2"

Keep us posted man!

i would love to turbo the car but i will wait until my warranty is up... which gives my plenty of time to do everything else :-)
