Wasn't interested in a Braille? Not that I really know batteries, it was just my impression that they were the best.

There are Two PC680 for a total of 1000 CCA VS 360 CCA for the Braille.

The Braille is three years old and too hard to find near me

I will remove one of them for when I require lightnes. The seat will go out too... leaving one PC680 in a low center of gravity in the middle of the car.

The two are wired in Paralell.

It was on the previous page.

LOL,

So today I spent learning about all the new products.

The 505 Manifold does not like the Perrin Fuel Rail. If you use the OEM plastic spacers, it Effs up the alignment and creates an air leak.

The AWR oil pan leaks like a MOFO. I put a ton of Permitex Black on it and it cured for a really long time. The pan lip is so warped that even with the bolts snugged tight, oil is simply able to be blown out the front of the motor. A bit disapointing for something that costs so much... Saturday I suppose I am taking the Ex System off and the oil pan as well to reseal it. This time I'm going to empty the entire tube on it and see if that works.

The combination of the 2.0L and the GT3071 is Fantastic. I replayed a log of my last drive.

The MP5T posted a 9.7 PSI at 3025 RPM and 12% TPS.

I have to resist the urge to push down. The tune is sloppy and the motor only has 250 Km on it.

The cooling system ROCKS!

I think it is because of the super short Manifold, Catless Ex system, 65mm TB and 505 Intake.

I wasn't expecting to be able to boost that low..

Ah damn, that's amazing. Very inspiration toward my build. I'm definitely Going to have to hit you up about finding more info about haltech. I'm planning to go that route eventually.

Hmm do you have a solution for the 505 mani and the perrin fuel rail? Thats what im going to be running as soon as the new batch of manifolds are done.

My plan is to take the OEM Plastic spacer and run them on a belt sander to change their thickness. I put a bolt through and let it sit without the spacer, It centered itself properly. I am going to measure the gap with a Micrometer and make the new spacer the same size.

Well done Brian

I am Excited to have my Toy again.

My bad. Saw the pic of the Odyssey and got all presumptuous.

I ran the Braille for three years. I think it's fantastic and very good for it's weight. I had no issues with it but it is three years old and I needed to replace it. It is impossible to just walk into a store here and buy a Braille, but I have an Oddesy dealer here in town, so it made sense.

Get a PS1000 and not a Sprint 500... The PS1000 has much more control and inputs for logging.

I'll help you with the details and install problems to watch for.

Great success!

With regards to the oil pan, I found that a thin bead can be made to seal it just fine on my car, while I've heard others having problems. Does it leak around the bolt holes?

That's ******. I suspect something more than a warped surface. I reccomend, pull the pan off, take it to a machine shop and have it milled. Costs about $20 and 15 minutes of your time, just to be sure.

Possible that there was a gap in the sealant? I use Permatex "Right stuff grey". It's expensive as **** ($50 for a half tube) but it's what Mazda uses at the factory and It is amazing stuff.

I took it off, and looked at edge vs a straight edge.

It was ok..

I scuffed the surface a bit to promore adhsion and used the same stuff, but the black.

All the major things are sorted out.

One minor thing was that the new alternator was slightly out of alignment, causing the belt to squeal. It is impossible to move the alternator so the next easy way to get the belt to lign up is to move it on the crank pulley.

There is a natural hump in the pulley that was machined down.

I now have a 5 groove belt that is 27.5" long so I can leave it loose, but still get full grip on the alternator.

glad to see major stuff out the way

umm wonder if thats my problem. my belts were replaced, but keeps squeeking

So the belt had to be moved two grooves over.. No Squeak, 14.5v awesome... Now the car is enjoyable to drive... Time to start tuning and putting on some miles..

You can clearly see that the belt is now able to ride in the middle where there used to be a hump.
I have ordered a 5 and 6 Groove belt, the plan is that I will be able to leave it quite slack compared to stock and minimize the loss to friction, plus it will be better on the main bearings..
