Cheese, I am swapping my control arms and coilovers into my P5 this weekend and was thinking about replacing the tie rod ends too for good measure. If you have the extra couple bucks might as well while you're in there. At least the alignment guys will thank you for it. haha. My buddy (fishdonotbounce) swapped his out and said the steering was much better. But his were SUPER toast.

On that car it should be a walk in the park. I ended up running a tap through all the captive nuts and running a die over the LCA bolts because they were so nasty. It felt great to be able to thread everything back together with my fingers instead of a big-ass wrench :)

I think I'll get the inner tie rod ends and postpone the struts since the ones I have now are in decent shape. That way if the old outer tie rod ends give me trouble I can just cut them off without worrying.

Thanks Evan.

i cant even imagine how much this car has cost you to build lol. but its sweet as hell either way

I think there becomes a point when you stop keeping track of what you have spent, i know i have reached that point and no longer want to even know the total amount spent.

^^ looks good Azuelke

I plastidipped my shifter surround and radio surrounds today. I left the faux carbon fiber sides of the radio surround as they were. Let me know what you think (2thumbs)

Same. I stopped counting in my spreadsheet after I doubled the cost of my car LOL.

azuelke, you probably know this by now but... lower that thing!!!

on a side note, i did the foglight mod today and found where im going to be running the power cable for the amp that i will be getting in tomorrow! im WAS trying to keep the car looking as stock as possible... but im straying from that now. if only i knew someone that wanted to trade my 02 rear spare tire cover for their 03 cover. that way i could do a spare tire mounted sub... but a man can only dream!

Azuelke: which brand of paint is that? i want to do my mp3s in that color.

Started off with 2 coats of black plasti-dip, followed by 2 coats of Valspar gold, followed by 2 coats of Valspar gloss clear. I'll take a pic of the cans after work. The gold was extremely metallic and had a lot of flake in it, until I put clear on them and it killed that pop, which is what I was hoping for.

Yup that's the project this weekend hopefully :)
I chose to swap in the DX window panels instead of painting the P5 ones black over the silver. Don't want to see silver underneath come back thru and the other panels have the texture too. Same with door handles, don't want to paint them and have silver coming thru after usage so I left them silver. Scored a nice oem black radio bezel awhile back so swapped that in too. I left a few things silver but got rid of a lot.

Also got an oem sportauto shifter that is black/black instead of black/gray.

I think I am going to do that as well and look for the black trim pieces at my local junkyarads. Just don't like the silver on those pieces.

JiggaBro, I've got the '03 complete spare tire sub and plastic assembly if you want it? I pulled my stereo out so I'll sell it to you cheap. PM me if you're interested, no pressure.

on topic- I pulled the suspension last night. God, I love southern cars. No seized bolts and even some of the endlinks unbolted.
