This is as far as it will go.Take it to PM's
damn man how much power are you putting down to stip the gears like that and man thats gotta suck big time.
I was waiting on the 505 mani to get it dynoed but apparently I'm putting down too much.. on the bright said I got permission from the wife to buy PAR gears somehow.
lol. man sounds like you got a lotta work ahead of you
You have no idea man. Ive been slowly looking through it and it basically needs a complete rebuild. Hoses are brittle, ABS sensors need replacing, brakes, VCG, everything needs cleaning. Not bad or anything, but 137k on OEM parts and "upgrades".... Speaking of.... I hate when you get a new car and dissect it, noticing all the flaws and attempts to "upgrade", meanwhile IGNORING KNOWN PROBLEMS!!! 14 piece "straight pipe" is not an "upgrade" especially at 2". No offense to anyone that may be doing that. I just prefer spend the extra to bend and weld it properly.
DDDDAMN YOU DID ALL THAT? Sadly it sounds like thats the road Im headed. But Ive never been more determined to work on a car. I love this sexy b****. hahah Im just not looking forward to LSD/Clutch. Parts alone are more than my entire new turbo, exhaust, and downpipe NOT TO MENTION PAIN IN THE ASS TO DO!!!
Speaking of, I know not the place, but how much stronger/better is the Quaife? Are they still injury prone in our cars?
Im focusing on my known problems, But honestly, Ive been throwing a couple bucks here in there into future LSD fund hahahah
Skip the quaife, unless you have boat loads of money to blow. Get a mfactory diff. Both are rated to hold way more then our cars will ever hold. Only benefit the quaife has over the mfactory is it has a warrenty even if raced. However it cost twice as much and then some then the mfactory and you still have to trim the case a little bit to get it to fit. The mfactory diff on the other had is rated for 1k hp which our cars will never see and about 6-700 bucks if i remember correctly. If a shop installs it look to spend at least 800 to have that done as well. Then if your going that route might as well get a new clutch and lightweight flywhel as labor should be free as they have to remove that stuff anyways and reinstall it for the diff replacement.
Is it bad that I work on MY car more at work than at home oooooorr customers cars hahah
Did I say lip?You mean front lip?
