Hey guys, I'm looking for some information about this new Haltech unit. Anyone on here using it?

My forged rebuild should be finished soon and looking to replace my Split Second AFC with a standalone unit.

Also, does the unit come with a base map to start from?

Any insight is appreciated!

I realize I'm bumping a DEAD thread but I've been looking into getting this from Crossover Auto prewired plug and play. Was wondering if anybody could help with the decision. I'll be running at less than 10psi until I finish my forged motor then I'll be running 16-18 for DD and 22-26 for the track on a GT3071 BB turbo.

Im gonna be getting a platinum sprint 1000 i dont think there is a map that comes with it since every car has different mods. You will need to have your car dyno tuned in order to benefit from this. I also think u need a few sensors like inlet air temp sensor and maybe coolant temp?

I was looking into the plug and play option from *************. They seem to have a current firmware available and I'll be getting a proper tune. But it seems that it's pretty simple install. All it needs is 3 power wires, 2 ground wires and 1 signal wire that goes to a wideband output. I also need a single dedicated vacuum line direct from the intake manifold to the Sprint ECU for a MAP signal. After that you just plug into the existing harness. I was wondering if this would be a good option for the current setup I'm running.

So I'm a little confused on why my earlier post has the name of the company that I'm looking to buy from blanked out. Is there bad blood between Mazdas247 and them?

Yeah, there's a lot of that for some reason. If you're going to cite a Protege vendor for whatever reason, there's a 90% chance it'll get censored.. even though we all know who the vendors are anyway :/

www.mp5t.com

there is a How To Install section..

PM me if you have any questions.
I have been running a PS1000 for three years.

Thanks Brian, that'll definitely help. This is my first time running a standalone so I'll need all the help I can get.

My sprint 500 shoul be here on the 25th FYI ;)

Keep me updated on how the installs going, and what type of setup are you running?

I noticed that, I was thinking I was breaking some forum rule I haven't heard of.
