Anyone here have problems with the revised mazda version of their welded differential? I was planning on the MFactory but i dont see why the welded revised version wouldnt suffice.. I am planning on higher hp.. but sh** if it works it works.. im looking to the 300-350hp range after this set of parts goes in

Some people have had luck with a welded diff and others not to much. Personally just spend the difference and get a diff that you know will not break and will out handle any amount of hp you can throw at it from the FSDE. Besides do you really want to go into the trans again later on down the road because the diff broke? Personally the 250 extra or whatever it is for better piece of mind. Plus if the welded one ever broke your out a hell of a lot more then the price difference when you need to buy another diff.

After my diff broke I went weith the Mfactory and have no regrets about it! I can beat on my car now without the fear of the diff breaking!

How much better is the quaife compared to mfactory? Sub

The only thing I see better about the quife is that it has a warrenty even if raced.... but its also double the cost of the mfactory and you have to modify your transmission case (have to trim back a section). So its not a drop in affair. I got my diff and it installed by a shop cheaper then what the quife cost alone even before tax and shipping!

I got lucky and picked up a Quaife LSD for an excellent price. I have a 1.6 and I have only seen one diff available for the F series, it was on another forum so i grabbed it. When i looked up the price on the Quaife website i was like WOW, thats expensive. You also need to get some ARP ring gear bolts and new side bearings... Either way upgrade to the MFactory of Quaife and you will never look back...

ya i might have to hit up an mfactory soon here. How many people here have also done par gears? or was just upgrading the diff enough?

true that mfactory seems like the way to go.
