What have you done to your MSP today?

Well it wasnt a bad headgasket it was a bad valve cover gasket. The coolant wasnt dirty (the tank its in is dirty and it makes it look darker) so that was a nice crisis averted.

haha yes! congrats
excellent for yoU!

and, i picked my 03.5 msp up today:)

yeah, I didnt know full extent but it had been leaking oil all down the front of the engine very slowly so it wasnt causing puddles or stains on the ground but enough to make a layer on the engine block

Lol did you open the overflow lid and look in, or just glance at it from the outside? Either way, it's always nice to have a cheap and easy fix. Congrats.

I opened it and looked it, I have to replace this tank I think because it is really discolored and it makes the coolant look black but when you shine a light into the tank it shows green like it should. Maybe an excuse to get a billet overflow tank.

the engine is in, axles in, hubs on, most of the lower components are bolted on... tomorrow should be complete lol

soo everything is back together... i start filling the tranny fluid... and its leaking out of both sides of the axle... wtf...

Hey guys, the cam gears on the forum right now, are the pick up points te same as stock? And SR Cam Gears, are they the same as stock? I heard mixed answers.

Do you have the axles pushed in all the way? If not that would cause it to leak bad. But I have changed my tranny twice and never changed the axle seals and they dont leak a drop.

Finally found the wheels I want. 17x8.5 +40. And only weigh 18.35lbs. Decided I will raise the car for a more functional setup when I get the wheels. Gonna run probably 235/40/17 on them. Sp I can still be low just more aggressive and functional.

:( idk i had to stop last night.. fatigue kicked in lol.. bolted everythign on adn plugged in.. left out radiator/fans and connect the vac lines on the intake lol soo i figured i needed to stop ... and no i didnt put new seals in :(...good thing everything is anit seized and cleaned if i need to remove all that again to get the axles out :)

that's gonna stick out an inch further than stock, are you sure they are gonna fit with out mad camber yo?

Putting on new rear brake pads tonight... I've got another 3,000 left on them I'd say... I was able to flirt my way into a FREE set of pads with the hot Commercial Account Manager at Advance... And since I'm poor I've not done anything to the MSP in a few weeks. I still have my eye on the Corksport, but switching jobs has really taken it's financial toll on me... ::sigh::

ebrake and ABS light stays on while i drive. my ebrake is not on and my brake fluid is not low. rear brake pads are not low either. -_-
