What'd you think of that Chrysler ad with Clint Eastwood? Very inspiring...until you find out that Chrysler doesn't have have a single top-10 car according to Consumer Reports but they took 3 out 5 five when it comes to worst overall rated vehicles. It may be half-time in America but I think Chrysler's sitting this one out on the sidelines while GM and Ford are playing the game.

I still don't understand their imported from detroit campaign.

Their flagship car (300) is made in Canada.
Their flagship truck (Ram 1500) is made in Mexico.
The only brand that has a full lineup of cars assembled in America is jeep.

Cars actually made in/around detroit:
Dodge Avenger/Chrysler 200
Durango
Dodge Journey
Grand Cherokee

US, but not detroit:
Dodge Caliber
Wrangler
Liberty
Compass
Patriot

Foreign:
Ram 1500
Chrysler Minivans (T&C, Caravan)
Challenger
Charger/300

Congrats Ash!!

Any NEPOCers have any 16" snows for sale? Its that time, just got a flat and its at the point where I cant just replace one.

Hey! Great game but wish the Pats would have come out on top for our son. They def. had their chances but missed them. There's always next year...oh no wait, next year the Fish win the East! :p

Nice little tidbit of info there Sean, made me laugh.

Tony, IIRC Chris (Huyler) had some for sale?

I had an Avenger as a rental for a day. What a piece of garbage. With only 5,000 miles on it, I swear my '83 Chrysler was more put together...and that car had 100k on the ticker when I first got it. They still make the Durango? Amanda had a Journey as a rental, she hated it. The Grand Cherokee is built on the Mercedes ML platform. So much for American ingenuity. The Wrangler, Liberty, and Patriot are multiple winners of the Consumer report's worst buy, worst reliability lists. Stuff breaks on those cars in 50k that shouldn't break in 300k. You can't blame the American workers either. It's the engineers that can't design a car to last. Toyota Camrys and numerous other foreign cars are built right here in the states and they don't fall apart in 50k.

Yeah.. I won't be buying any chrysler product anytime soon. Not only are they poorly made with garbage transmissions, they are just flat out ugly.

Morning folks.

Man... my brain is numb right now from all the s*** going on here at work. I can't keep anything straight. It blows.

Some of them are ugly, but overall they have decent branding and styling. The Charger, Challenger, 300, Ram, Nitro, and Wrangler all have bold styling that stands out. Unfortunately that styling doesn't carry well into the lower trim levels or the interiors. They have a good concept of branding, they just don't know how to follow through with it. If the cars were reliable, I think they'd sell well.

I'll be honest... I have seriously been eyeballing a Veloster to have and use for my business trips.

bruce, looks like mazda loved your car! the new special edition 2012 mx5 for he US..
