I'm not familiar with the ECU, but sounds like you need to do some logging when that happens and modify the tune

Problem with that is I can't find the cable needed to connect to an OG palm pilot (not a palm os, an original palm pilot) and the ecu

I did some reading on that site and didn't see anything about a palm. Are you able to connect it to a laptop and launch the PCLink software? Do you have the latest firmware loaded on the ECU?

If you know the connector types, I can nearly guarantee that Fry's or Microcenter carries what you need.

it's not just a cable, it's a circuit board in a box with cables coming out of it, just heard back from Keith at Flyin Miata

It's not something i can fab up without proper schematics. I sent LINK an email asking if i can get the schematics since it's not in production anymore, but from what i've been reading is they're REALLY slow to reply
