What have you done to your MSP today?

How can I bypass my coolant from my turbo ... Notice you guys were talking about that, is it an easy thing to do, or a 3 hr project ..?
 
Yeah that the only reason. Why I ask, looks like a good deal, cuz I need a good BOV this time around since the last 2 were s*** and dnt let out enough air and I'm getting turkey all the time and sounds like s*** ... Those were both godspeed BOVs .... So was looking into Tue HKS since they seem to be reasonable and a good BOV as well...
 
Thanks , what did you use for fittings ?

2 3/8 barb to barb, 2 3/8 barb to 1/4" npt, 2 1/4" npt 90's and a 1/4 npt thread (its a small 1/4" threaded rod to connect the 2 90's) and 3/8 hose.

i could have just plugged both holes with less fittings but i didnt know if having 2 dead ends would be a problem or not so i played it safe.
 
maiello, just save up for a turboxs type h. some of the guys here have them and they're not that expensive. then you can pick up an ssqv later down the road
 
Once you have a turboxs theres no need to save up for the HKS. Love my turboXS and theyre all of $130 brand new.
 
So we are def sure its a knock off ? Yeah I just want a good BOV that's affordible and get rid of that turkey sound lol sounds lime s***. So the turboxs h is decent, and reasonable as well...? Would that be something I could find on Ebay ? ....
 
Kool thanks , what would I use a flange for this BOV .... Is it one that needs to have the flank welded onto the piping ...?
 
It comes with flanges, and yes, you will need to cut a hole and weld the flange...a welding shop shouldnt charge you that much.
 
Okay so its one that I would need to bring to the shop to.get welded on. Once I get my other gauge in and order the new BOV ill have my shop do the gauges and BOV all in one trip, so in the next few weeks . Need to get that coolant bypassed first I think... And need to get more couplers so I can put the FMI on also ... The list gets longer and longer.. thing my front driver side suspsention is going to, squeeks when ever u go over speed bumps ...
 
So i pressure tested my coolant system and it only holds 7 psi (shop manual says its supposed to be 17.8psi) . (Cue sad trumpets). There was one hose loose but once i fixed it i couldnt find one single hiss or spurt. So im guessing its going somewhere! Im gonna tackle the water pump tommorow cause maybe someway somehow its causing all of this.

oh yea and when i went to start it to run to autozone it started the first time with no stumble and isnt smoking now. WHAT THE HELL TONYS MAZDASPEED?!?!?! its not helping me troubleshoot at all.

probably just bushings, check the sway bar bushings, then the control arm bushings

LOL maybe you pushed the HG back in place with the pressure test? LOL
