What have you done to your MSP today?

so anybody know what is the purpose of this thing? according to jim ellis its a condenser, but no further explanation. wtf?

Ordered new front pads........ Yeah so would it be bad if i just ordered an ebay special muffler and weld it on, so the car is a little louder,,, to quiet right now and dont have the money to get full exhaust....

I'm not exactly sure what it does but i'm pretty sure it's related to the coilpacks. Shouldn't be expensive or hard to find.

I would gut the cats first, would be free and would sound far better than an ebay muffler plus it would make a noticeable power gain.
 
Just had the car spike 14psi, i'm convinced the problem is the Forge WGA, It's been boosting fine lately after the SSAFC install but the boost never has been smooth since I got the Forge and now it's starting to spike on me. Looks like an ATP will be purchased with some christmas funds.
 
+1 on gutting the cats. I listened to clips of Wagon's MSP with gutted cats. Much better than the ebay special

its a ground for the coils as far as i know i had thye wire break and it mad my car run like ass]

Just had the car spike 14psi, i'm convinced the problem is the Forge WGA, It's been boosting fine lately after the SSAFC install but the boost never has been smooth since I got the Forge and now it's starting to spike on me. Looks like an ATP will be purchased with some christmas funds.

you and stealth need to have a talk. he has the same issue and the common thing is the forge wga. he denies it though

only if you do a whole axle back, I wouldn't cut into the racingbeat so you can go back if you don't like the sound or sell it if you do
 
I took out the turbo, replaced the coolant bypass that was leaking, changed the primary o2 sensor, changed the wga. The goal was originally to fix the vacuum leak and its still there. I'm at about 17 on idle and it was usually 19. I can't boost any higher than 12psi, I think they are both related to a problem with the wga not moving properly but I really don't have the time to do this all over again and figure it out ugh.

could it cause my car to stutter under load and more than partial throttle, cause right now i basically have to use like 10 percent of the gas pedal travel.

anyone on here know what the stock diameter of the exhasut from the cat back?

before i sold mine, i measured it to be around 2.25"
 
Maybe. It helps ground your coils so yeah probably.


And which is it 2.25 or 2.5?

well if u go by inner diameter of the pipe, which i believe is how ur supposed to grade it. then its 2.25, cause my 2.5" straight pipe is definitely bigger compared to the stock racing beat.

Is it the adjustable one? I had nothing but problems with that thing. Forge said it was my fault but when i put the ATP on there it held boost just fine. My forge would NOT hold boost steady, it would waiver and spike. awful. I even put a note in the guide i made on here about it and that was in '08
