NEMOC Random BS Thread

haha...i do! it's a combo unit...we have all these old kids tapes that the grand kids are now watching on the old 27" sharp in the playroom!

I don't know which is more amazing.. That you know how or you still have one. ;)

btw.. Are any of you coming down to the The Mitty next year? You better!

the mitty...i'd love too, but i don't think i'm going to have the time...if i can get me @ss in gear and the weather is good in march, i'll get some of the outside repairs done to the house, but i'm not holding my breath that the weather in march in ne is going to cooperate. i really want to sell this place so this spring will be the busy time. i'm just looking forward to not having to take care of this monster any longer! it really eats into my MAZDA love time! ;)

Ok NEPOCers.... Anyone want to buy some wheels before I post em up? I know I did this before, but the 17's arent the direction I want to go anymore and the wife doesnt want them on her car. Will probably need to buy new tires in the spring. The tires dont match, have Falkens on the rear and Potenzas on the front.... The fronts were worn, and I had the potenzas in the shed. Some of you know I had these powedercoated from the original silver color. They are great wheels. Just gonna go with a 16 eventually if I dont get rid of her.
$400 obo.....

17's on a Speed look awesome IMO... plus tire cost is more tolerable

Lesson learned: do not buy cheapest AutoZone brake pads... the ones on I bought last year disintegrated on one side on the rear of the P5. The other pad looked "crumbly."

Also the P5 is wearing Nokians now. I will need to find some cheap cheap wheels + tires to throw on in the spring.

Are you sure your sister wasn't driving around with the e-brake on? My P5 wore through rear pads very quickly, almost twice the rate of the fronts.

This is the paint job I'm doing to my sister's bike this weekend. Gotta love having a basement where I can get some projects done.

So Josh and Oleg,

I have those fine spiderweb like scratches on the 6 and I can't seem to get rid of them through normal means. I'm a bit apprehensive about using something very abrasive on the paint to fix it. Is there something I can use that is mildly abrasive so I don't rin the paint and I can get rid of these scratches...

I used a claybar on the 6 and to give you both an idea, here is what one half of my hood looked like after I washed it.... clicky me!

Hi All,

Man, those were my rims ages ago. Glad to see they still looking good.

Cold weather this weekend, 10 yesterday, 15 today but sunny with little wind. Lakes and rivers are not frozen yet.

Had one of the mechanics change the fuel filter on Mary's car and it sprung a leak. Looks like the clip wasn't seated properly. reseated it myself and went back to work to make sure that it was fixed. Ragged the mechanic a little but not too much since it was a freebie.

Picked up a Xmas tree and Mary is decorating. Kids come home on Thursday and Friday.

Thanks!

Finishing the final coat of the blue and then drying/peeling off the tape and wet sanding. I also opted for just one orange stripe next to the white since the frame is pretty small.

Here's some in progress pictures:

The final color is the same color from this truck:

My next project will either be a dually MTB or a singlespeed 'cross bike.

sooo I finished the final coat and took off the masking, and there's a couple of areas where the primer didn't stick correctly, so the paint peeled up, I'm going to touch these up and clear coat it tonight:
