What have you done to your MSP today?

Well I'm impatient so i'm gonna crimp it for now, I have no problems going back and doing it over again.

Solder. Don't half ass it.

Solder iron and solder is like 15 bucks anywhere around. Look up a youtube video on how to solder. It's 5-10 minutes long. Easy peasy and you won't have engine go boom boom.

And a common misconception about soldering is that you head up the solder. Incorrect... you actually heat the wires where you want to make the connection, and touch the solder to the wires.

Alright AFC is in and the car runs like s***, and it's not because I didn't solder the damn wires. As soon as I tried to floor it the car hit fuel cut and threw a CEL P0103 for too high MAF voltage. It runs fine when not boosting but as soon as I try to give it some gas it stumbles and hits fuel cut and goes nowhere. I also can't get the AFC to connect to my laptop, I guess I will try it with Windows XP since it was on 7 and people were having problems running it on 7. I need to find drivers to use the USB cable as well, it doesn't recognize the device and can't find drivers for it.
Nothing like dropping a bunch of money on a mod everyone raves about to have your car run like complete s***

No one's going to want to help you if you don't take advice. Just sayin...

Also, how do you know it isn't the crimps? Did you take a multimeter to each wire to make sure the voltage was correct, or are you just assuming?

Sorry about the trouble man, but you're the exception, not the rule. I had zero problems with my SSAFC, along with countless other members.

We are not trying to be dicks to you. When people give you advice that can save you headache, you really should take it. You mentioned earlier that you don't mind going back and soldering the wires later. Later is now. Check every single connection for correctness and solder.

Not true, My connectors went bad after about a year and a half of driving. And they didnt go bad, one of them was getting a intermentent connection and caused problems. I was drunk and couldnt drive my car home so my girlfriend drove. It was running like s*** and we barley made it home. The next day I woke up and took the ECU out and got it where I could mess around with the wires. I started the car and it ran fine, I would shake my connections and the car would run like s***. So I just said **** it and took out the connectors.

Alright I went and bought a soldering iron and some solder, was like $8. I hope this fixes the problem. Soldering doesn't look very easy but I should be able to figure it out. I still need to figure out how to connect it to the laptop.

Yeah horn you will be happy, when I first started soldering I sucked but now I am acutally pretty good. Just tug on the wires after you get the soldered together to make sure they hold NOTHING CRAZY JUST A LIGHT TUG. And then wrap them with electrical tape. Make sure its electrical tape.

I got some electrical tape as well, just finished soldering the 4 signal connections for the O2 and MAF sensors. I will solder the rest in the morning but will test the car first to see if it still won't go WOT. I really want to plug the AFC into a laptop so I can figure out which map is on it, PO said he reset it so I hope it has the superstock B map but it's a shot in the dark at this point.

My bad for being hard headed and stubborn but I suppose it's my car i'm messing up, I appreciate everyone's help and input.

BTW my solder job was terrible, it looks like complete s*** and I hope too much solder won't mess up the connection. I was sure to use enough to secure the wires together but it looked nothing like the videos I saw on how to do it, those guys were pros.

The only reason the AFC wont connect with your laptop is if you are missing the driver software for the USB-Serial cord, or if its not actually getting powered up by the car.
The car has to be key on engine off to make any changes, but you should still be able to connect with the engine on too.

BOV decided to stop working .... Now I'm getting turbo flutter sounds... Need to find another one , love my MSP lol

I hate it when people buy bad parts and then when their car does not run right they blame it on the vehicle. Im not saying that is the poster aboves problems but I knew a local guy who had a ton of bad half assed parts on his car. It was a Awesome looking car just ran like s*** and Id say for 1500 bucks he could have had it running like a top. But chose to go the cheap way and sold the car......
